You Get What You Pay For

I bought one in May last year and was initially impressed with it, even though the flame would frequently cut out after two minutes, each time it was lit. It would boil water quickly and clearly gave off a lot of power with the Coleman cartridges.

But this year it has failed. It no longer seems to release the gas assuringly and I've read a number of reviews on Amazon from people with identical experiences.

It's a great shame as I really was impressed initially. Maybe I should have sought a replacement sooner but I fail to believe that these are built to last and I'll now be investing in something more expensive.

good stove

this is the second vango stove I bought as the first one the rubber grommet fell out and the brass ring got stuck in the gas canister had to buy another as their aren't any other in its price range.apart from that it is a good strong lightweight stove when it works

Great Piece of Kit

Well engineered compact stove that works really well... Fold away into a small plastic carton for storage.

Best at it's price.

I have had this stove a while and although it's not the smallest it's the best you'll get for the price.

It's so good I'm buying a second as I've lost my first.

Great

Bought this as I couldn't find my old MSR in time for a trip. This is great value for the price and works really well. With the 500 Coleman gas canister it seems a little unstable when windy, but that it not the stoves fault.

Water boils pretty quickly but I did find the concentrated heat a little bit of a pain when frying bacon or burger. This may however be the pans we used not transferring the heat well.

brilliant compact stove

Bought this stove to go on multiple trips including duke of Edinburgh bronze and silver. It has accompanied me to France and has performed faultlessly throughout. I would happily recommend this stove to anyone who wants a compact and powerful piece of kit. It out performed all other stoves, it can cook things faster and uses less gas than all the other prices of kit my friends had, and for the price it is perfect. The only downside is that you must make sure you are cooking on flat ground and out of strong wind, although this is true with almost all stoves, this one can get tall if using large fuel canister and mess tins.
Seriously consider buying this stove.

great

works great, is light and small, and much cheaper than the coleman or the MSR which seem to use exactly the same design.
Couple it with a 100gram gas bottle and its a great compact system.
