Gel
I used the gel after giving my boots a quick brush and the results were awesome. They literally came up like brand new. This product is very efficient and is so quick and easy to use. Got some Nik wax fabric and leather waterproofer to finish the job. Excellent overall.

Better than warm water?
Used this to clean my boots and it did a good job but I'm not sure it's any better than just using warm water. Maybe it'll prove its worth over time.

I wasted my money on this item. Followed the instructions, but used warm soapy water in the end. Never used a proprietary product before and shall not bother again.

Nik wax shoe cleaning gel
Very disappointed with the product as the applicator is very poor with the distribution of the gel had to cut a hole in the top still not coming out.

Nikwax foo t cleaning gel
Does what it says and does it quite well. Overall no complaints and this is a decent product for anyone looking for a relatively low cost option to clean their shoes with.
The only issue I have with it really is the instructions, which stated 'to pierce the top end cover', or something very close to that effect. This isn't specific enough in my view, as there are umpteen ways to do that, and you could end up breaking it too much.

Nikwax footwear cleaning gel
Cheaper than expected and worked as well as expected. The brush applicator doesn’t seem like it will last long. Perhaps the brush could be incorporated into the cap, thus making it easier to release cleaning fluid. Overall does what it says on the tin. No complaints.

Great cleaner
This worked well to get rid of the soaked in mud from lake district. A year later remembered I had stored the boots away and used this product. I agree that a toothbrush is helpful but after adding a little water and pressure the applicator worked to a degree.

Gel might be OK but application method is poor
The applicator is very poor (at least my bottle of cleaner was.)
Very difficult to get the gel out of the bottle.
An old toothbrush gently used with any cleaner does a better job of cleaning the boots and a toothbrush actually gets in to nooks and crannies better than the brush head on this bottle.
Expensive and overrated IMO.
Given 1 star as the gel does kind of clean the boots, albeit not very well.

Does the job and cleans my boots great. Just find that the sponge applicator falls apart easily when cleaning my salomon quests. If your boots are smooth the it’s great, if they have lots of stitching and detail like quests, might be best opting for a spray bottle
