Patterdale Mountain Rescue had to bring an "exhausted" man down from the fells in the High Street area of the Lake District after he rang them on his mobile to say he was too tired to go on walking.
The man was on the fells on Friday (April 16th) with a companion and two children when he called the service, saying he was unable to continue, Grough reports.
Ten members of the Patterdale Team assisted in bringing the man down from the hills, with a check-up finding that he was not in poor health.
Such situations can be avoided by people taking the right
backpacking food on walks to ensure they have plenty of energy.
Another problem those hiking in the area may have encountered that day was that of dehydration, due to the warm spring weather.
Those seeking to take adequate water may find taking hydration packs helps to ensure they have sufficient supplies.
