Fresh snowfall has brought outstanding new skiing conditions over the past weekend, Scotland's ski resorts have reported.

With fresh falls over the weekend, the five centres reported that most ski lifts were expected to open.

Cairn Gorm stated on January 30th: "We have great conditions across all of the available runs" following fresh falls, while the Lecht said: "All runs [are] complete with new snow on a firm base."

Glen Shee has also reported fresh snow, while the Nevis Resort has said that more snow is expected to further improve ski conditions at its site on Aonach Mor.

Such conditions could offer those grabbing some skiing equipment plenty of opportunities to enjoy the slopes this week.

According to the latest Met Office forecast for the Highland region, there will be further snow today (February 1st), tonight and tomorrow.

In England, the Lake District Ski Club also reported good conditions after further snow.
