Those tempted to
go walking over the post-Christmas break will find that there are a wide range of opportunities being offered by the Ramblers.
Adventurer Ben Fogle has joined forces with the body for the Ramblers Festival of Winter Walks, which takes place between December 26th and January 3rd.
The events will be occurring all over England, Scotland and Wales, with over 300 routes of less than five miles in length and in excess of 100 walks aimed at people aged in their 20s and 30s.
Walkers keen to get out and about in the next few days may want to get a new pair of men's
walking shoes or women's
walking shoes.
TV presenter Fogle said the walks are the ideal way to "unwind" after a hectic Christmas Day.
He stated: "We're urging everyone in Britain, whatever their age, stage or level of walking, to get out and join in the Festival of Winter Walks."
Earlier this week, the Ramblers joined the government in urging families to go for a walk after Christmas Dinner to burn off some calories.
