Cairngorm Mountain has opened another lift as the winter snows offer more chances to don the ski boots.

The Ptarmigan T-Bar has opened in addition to the M1 Poma, Coire na Ciste T-Bar and the Funicular Railway, which were already open yesterday, allowing access to adjacent slopes.

A further six lifts remain closed, while the resort has said that there is some "some nice skiing on the Cas runs" following further overnight falls.

With Scotland's ski facilities opening up, now could be a good tie to invest in new skiing equipment.

Over at the Nevis Range near Fort William, no lifts are as yet open, with the resort stating that there could be enough snow for skiing on higher slopes if more falls in the next few days.

However, it did note that ski and snowboard lessons will be available on the artificial slope from tomorrow (December 19th).

The resorts at Glenshee, Glencoe and the Lecht report not yet having enough snow to stage wintersports.
