England's world cup clash with Slovenia will be shown on big screens at next summer's Glastonbury Music Festival, it has been confirmed.

Organiser Emily Davies has confirmed on her Twitter page that football fans attending the event will get to see the game on June 23rd, the first day of the traditional jamboree of music and mud.

The match will be shown live on the screens at the Pyramid Stage.

Whether England's first game in the knock-out stages (should they qualify) will be shown at the festival on June 26th or 27th is not yet known.

Those with tickets for Glastonbury - or planning to get their hands on a resale in the new year - may wish to stock up on some camping equipment such as tents and airbeds to ensure their stay is as comfortable as possible.

While handball victims Ireland will be missing from the World Cup, the country's most famous band U2 will be performing at the Somerset venue, it was confirmed last month.
