Enjoy the end of the Bollington Festival

The Bollington Festival is coming to a close, so walkers might consider donning their outdoor clothing and joining in with the last of the treks this weekend.

Those who like to stay away from roads while exploring the town might consider the Mayor's Boundary Walk, which begins at 10:00 GMT at Bollington Town Hall.

Representatives of the Town Council will lead the way through the picturesque rights of way and around the sights of the mill settlement.

Alternatively, enjoy the end of the festival with a three-and-a-half-mile walk around the area on the Mellow Fruitfulness route.

It could be the perfect way to take in some of the most beautiful autumnal colours as the vibrant season draws to a close.

Rangers will accompany hikers, offering some pearls of wisdom along the way.

The festival began on October 15th and has allowed participants to ramble through all types of terrain, ranging from strolls in the park to challenging hikes.
