The organisers of Glastonbury have revealed that The Dead Weather will be playing at the festival.

Jack White and his fellow band members will be performing on the Pyramid Stage on June 26th, with Glastonbury founder Emily Eavis saying she is delighted to welcome the group back.

She said: "The Dead Weather played a surprise set in The Park last year which blew everyone away, so we can't wait to see them back on the Pyramid Stage this year!"

Ms Eavis noted that in the past, Jack White has appeared at the Somerset venue with his other bands The White Stripes and The Raconteurs.

Those heading to Glastonbury may wish to ensure that they have a great time in case the weather is dead too by buying good tents that can deal with the rain.

Glastonbury has also announced a competition to design the official t-shirt for the event, with a prize of £1,000 and two tickets for the festival.
