The inaugural Wilderness Festival will feature calypso blues singer CW Stoneking and his band the Primitive Horn Orchestra, organisers have revealed.

Festival-goers heading with their tents to the event at Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire will be able to see the Australian-born artist alongside performers such as Daniel Johnson, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, The Last Tuesday Society, Hayseed Dixie, The Low Anthem and Dry the River.

The festival describes itself as a celebration of the arts and the outdoors, with plenty more besides music.

Art, theatre, children's activities, debates and lectures, a masked ball and a chance to sit outdoors in a hot tub sipping champagne are all part of the event, which takes place over the weekend of August 12th-14th.

Tickets are still available at £120 per person for the whole weekend, or £100 for two days.

Organisers have said the setting is "idyllic" for campers, with a large flat area shaded by "ancient" oak trees.
