The Mull of Kintyre music
festival is going through its final preparations, before the event officially begins on Thursday (August 18th).
Held on the peninsula's largest settlement of Campbeltown, the event will feature the Bootleg Beatles as its headliners this year.
And fans heading there with
camping equipment can also enjoy a range of musical styles, with an international cast of folk, ceilidh, bagpipes and Gaelic bands all in the line-up.
The event lasts until Sunday and has been an annual event in the area since 1993, when Capercaillie were the headliners, combining music with parades and fancy dress.
Other big name bands to appear at the
festival include the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, who played there two years ago.
And fans with
tents may wish to use them to tour the area more, enjoying the scenery of a remote part of Scotland immortalised by Paul McCartney and Wings in 1977.
