Details of the Big Chill's new White Rabbit Stage have been unveiled by festival organisers, which may entertain those planning to spend a few days camping in the Herefordshire countryside and enjoying the music on offer.

With the opening date of the four-day festival (August 4th) fast approaching, it has been revealed that the stage - a new feature for this year - will offer a reprisal of 1970s psychedelic sound, set to "expand the Big Chill's mind".

And this will include a presentation of White Bicyles Project by Joe Boyd and Robyn Hitchcock, in which the first of these two artists will provide stories based on his book about music-making in the 1960s and the latter will provide the songs.

The line-up for the event includes a number of big name performers, such as Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers, Jessie J, Neneh Cherry and Empire of the Sun.

People pitching tents at the Eastnor Castle Deer Park site have been advised not to locate them too near its old protected trees, as they can be harmed by tent pegs.
