Those who like to go walking have a great range of festivals to choose from, it has been stated.

The Daily Telegraph noted that a range of events are taking place around the country in the fall of this year, with one of the first being the Amber Valley and Erewash, starting this Saturday (September 11th) and lasting for a fortnight.

Others include the Exmoor and North Devon Walking Festival and Snowdonia Walking Festival next month, with the former having the added attraction of partly coinciding with the Exmoor Food Festival.

The paper also noted upcoming events in Northumberland, Staffordshire and on the Isle of Wight.

Such a range of choice means people living in many parts of Britain may wish to head to their nearest Go Outdoors store to find items such as walking maps, fleeces and trekking poles.

In Scotland, one event is already in progress, with the Borders Walking Festival beginning on September 4th and continuing until September 12th.
