One-Pot Sweet Paprika Chicken

Serve with fresh crusty bread and enjoy!


  • 4 free-range chicken breasts
  • Chorizo
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1/2 jar of sweet roasted peppers, or 1-2 whole fresh peppers depending on your preference
  • Smoked paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • A pinch of cayenne pepper or chilli flakes
  • 500g passata
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • Olive oil
  • 1 + 1/2 cups of paella rice


Slice the onions and roasted peppers and add to the pan along with a good glug of olive oil to sweat off.

Slice chicken breasts and chorizo, add to the pan and continue to lightly fry on a very low heat.

Add chopped garlic to the dish.

Add the passata and chopped tomatoes then add a couple of pinches of cayenne pepper or chilli flakes.

Add at least 1 heaped teaspoon of smoked paprika.

Add paella rice to the pan and top up with a bit of water as necessary, to prevent dish drying out.

Simmer on a very low heat for 45 minutes or slow cook on a campfire for a couple of hours.
