The Saltoro provides a comfortable waterproof shell that stands up to regular use, even when carrying a pack. Made with advanced GORE-TEX featuring an ePE membrane and a tough 75D face fabric. Cut to an Alpine fit, paired with articulated, pre-shaped sleeves, which reduce bulk and enhance mobility, making it perfect for navigating challenging terrain.
The Saltoro is highly versatile, based on Mountain Equipment’s Alpine Fit pattern. It’s suitable for wearing with multiple midlayers in winter or lighter layers in summer. Most people find the Saltoro fits "true to size," regardless of when or how they layer it.
The fully adjustable, helmet-compatible Mountain Hood offers solid protection against driving rain. Other features include a dropped rear hem, adjustable laminated cuffs, and dual tether hem drawcords, all designed to improve fit, seal out water, and provide extra protection. The YKK® moulded Aquaguard® centre front zip, along with an internal storm flap, adds insulation against heavy rainfall, while zipped underarm vents allow for moisture management during steep climbs or in humid conditions.
