Good trainers/walking shoes
The Goretex keeps your feet dry and they are comfortable when broken in.
Completed 200k steps in 1wk in Morocco - the soles show no wear - they appear to be tough.
I have faith that these will last.

Just finished a little 8 mile walk through woods and fields, got them covered in mud, FEET dry as a bone really happy with them, next test is snowdon in a few weeks.
