A simple dome tent with space for 5 that's a great starter tent for family weekends away, and perfect for a festival.
Roomy and easily pitched, the Freedom Trail Walhala 5 is a simple, versatile 5-berth tent with standing room inside, and ample space to store your gear.
Its basic dome construction and colour-coded fibreglass poles mean it's quick and easy to set up, with the inner bedroom attaching afterward. The front porch has a removeable groundsheet, making it easy to pack away and simple to clean.
The large front and side doors give you easy access in or out, and let you fully ventilate the tent. Covered vents also help airflow, preventing condensation inside.
The two large front windows have roll-away curtains, giving you privacy when you need it, and letting plenty of light in on sunny days.

Bought last year and used 3 times so far. Nice and spacious...I use for 2 people would be cramped with the 5 it's intended for. As long as you pitch it correctly this tent withstands hard rain and fairly gusty wind too. Porch area is big enough for picnic table and camping chairs to sit on. Pitches quickly and packs away quickly too. Would highly recommend. The only negative is that the porch area can get lob sided but just need to make sure it's in the right position when you pitch it and peg down tightly....enjoy!!

Walhalla 5 tent is a disaster!
We bought the tent in the sales as a first time tenting, also recommended by one of the sales people, as a really good tent. We pitched up on site with no hassles apart from the front porch didnt sit right. During our first night in the tent the front porch caved in and the elastic snapped. We didnt sleep a wink as we thought the hole tent was going to collapse. When it was daylight, we removed porch pole and found the pole snapped in 2 places. Within process we managed to get the money back! DONT BUY IF YOUR GOING TENTING IN WINDY CONDITIONS!

Went camping with this tent and when i went to put the tent up TWO of the ring pieces were missing so i was unable the peg the tent down! Complete and utter wasted journey and without these parts the tent was completly useless..... seriously disapointed by the whole scenario.... a BIG BIG letdown..... ??

Brilliant value for money!
Brilliant value for money! Really spacious and pretty quick to put up/pull down. We've used ours several times now since buying it 2 months ago.
I'd definitely recommend!

Great tent! First we've ever bought. Got it to put alongside vw van and it works a treat. Perfect having 2 doors as can pitch it up in different directions depending on our pitch.

Good Price be wary of winds
This was the first tent i've bought, so didn't want to spend too much, and this seemed like a bargain. Easy to put up and to dismantle and with a lot of room it is a good tent for good weather. Unfortunately the weather turned awful with rain and wind and we had a few problems. The tent was acceptable in not letting rain in, only dripping along the zips, but nothing to ruin your trip. The tent did not hold up in very windy conditions and seemed like it may collapse at any moment. Numerous trips out in the night to adjust the tent and see if it was holding up okay. In the end the pole in the porch area split meaning we could not keep the tent up any longer, cutting our holiday short. We did take the tent back to Go Outdoors who replaced the pole free of charge, which was good to see. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, I would recommend buying extra guy lines and if possible moving the tent to a more sheltered area.

I bought this tent with a friend and used it at a family festival in winds. Not only did the front porch blow up in the air and could not be pegged down the tent guide ropes ripened and the contact points where the tent was pegged also ripped so there was no way to leg the tent to the floor. It was a TERRIBLE tent and we ended up having to bin it. DO NOT BUY. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL

Best value tent on the market today
As a camping virgin I wanted a tent that we could stand up in plus get a queen sized mattress in the sleeping area. The Walhala 5 fitted the bill perfectly and also the price, what can I say, fantastic value for money. Easy to pitch using the clear instructions, 20mins max (And I have never put up a tent before). The first night we had a thunder storm, It stayed dry and coped with the wind well, maybe better than some of the much more expensive tents on the site. We have a brilliant weekend and will deferentially be using the tent again.
When we bought the tent we also bought a pair of tent poles so we could turn the front door into a canopy. This worked well and we would recommend you do the same.
Thank you Go Outdoors for all your good advice.

Couldn't say a bad word about this tent. It made camping in a storm a storm. Sat up until late playing games around a table and chairs with plenty of room for belongings. And that was just in the front part. Would recommend this tent to anyone (that I like) ??

Outstanding tent, great in rain easy to put up with clear instructions only took about twenty minutes. Very roomy, although it says it sleeps five could easily fit in six or seven if only for a night or two. The open bit at the front is great for putting belongings in as zips up comfortably, worth a lot more than what I paid an absolute steal!

We went away this weekend to Dorset and brought this tent for that reason (It happened to be the end of the Atlantic hurricane). We put this tent up in 20 minutes it was so easy and good instructions. The rain came first and the hurricane reached us at 3am and lasted till 6.30 - 7.30am. It took a right battering. One front zip dripped very slowly! wow! What an excellent tent.

brilliant for the money
just spent 2 days away in this tent and boy what weather conditions!!
took 20 minutes to set up but for a 1st attempt was really surprised at the ease of setting it up. rained on Saturday for 15 hours with some heavy downpours and never had 1 bit of problem which with a 200hh was a bit of a worry as better tents around us had some leaks.
10 out of 10 for everything about this tent and cant fault it in any way.
would highly recommend this tent and wont need to worry about the weather next time we use it.
