Stay comfortable, warm and dry all the way through winter.

The Hi Gear Duck Boots are comfortable, grippy boots made to help you cope with winter weather and wet, slippy or snowy ground.

They benefit from being easy to slip on and off, keeping your feet warm, dry and comfortable and protected from the elements. The soft rubber sole has deep lugs for great grip in snow or mud, and the rubber extends all around the foot to keep you dry even if you're submerged in snow.

Their padded upper extends up to the calf, and the whole boot is lined with thick synthetic fur for a totally warm and cosy feel. A lace at the top lets you get the best fit around whatever legwear you're wearing.

Women's Footwear Size Guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet.

Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Appalling Quality

I wore these boots twice and the lining started to fall apart. Returned for a refund.

Duck Boots

! pair was for an OCR marshalling gift other was back up l bought.

The lining is torn round the heel but that is probably my rough heels.as soon as it is warm l go everywhere barefoot.

I swap around pairs so one outer can be washed and following week l have a pair to use while one dries.

I use these in winter months and pretty much every weekend from End September to hot months.

l don't know if l have Reynolds but my toes get freezing so toe warmth wise useless foot in general though they are very good at keeping my feet warm..

The grip in the mud is excellent, no splitting and trust me the use normal people get is a non starter for the use l get in fields and swamps of OCR mud for up to 8 hours on a weekend.

Only thing would be good is if they were waterproof all the way up (hint hint Go Outdoors)

Disappointed with Cracks

I put these boots on and fell in love with their comfort and warmth. I have worn them every day - mostly inside at work - but also been on a few muddy dog walks! I hve owned the boots since Christmas 2015 and they have already developed large cracks and holes over the toes of the boot. they are now no longer waterproof. I can still wear them indoors but for wals, I get wet feet.

Poor quality but you get what you pay for

Just like some of the other reviewers, these have developed a crack across the top of the toe box. I would think this is due either to a manufacturing fault or faulty design (maybe the rubber needs to be more flexible to allow for the movement during walking causing a crease across the top of the toe box). GO Outdoors happily exchanged these, so no problem with the service.

Best buy for ages!

I bought these to cope with snow and icy pavements in Norway on a recent holiday. They were perfect - non-slip in the most slippery conditions, warm and dry at all times. We went dog sledding and I was the only one who was told that I could keep my own boots on as they were as good as the specialist clothing on offer. Exceptional value.

Cheap for a reason

I barely got 10 uses out of these before the cracked on top and round the sides. Spend a bit more for better quality. They were warm

size

As with most mens boots the width at the top of the leg could do with being wider. It has a lace to allow you to tie tighter if you have a thinner leg but no give if you have a wider leg. I slit the top and fitted a velcro strap. Now it is the perfect boot.

Ok

Usual a size 8/9 but these boots are big and the 7 fitted fine. Bought for dog walking and found them comfortable at first but then the heel area started to feel loose and then it gradually starts dragging your socks down and rubbing, very annoying! I don't think they would be very comfortable for more than an hour of walking.

Poor fit

Only available in even sizes so as I am a size 5 I went for the size 4. These are definitely larger than a 4 and seemed to be a good fit at first. However, after walking a short distance I found that there was a lot of slippage in the heel - the sort which pulls your sock off while you walk. Very annoying and uncomfortable. I tried with some thicker socks but this made the boot too tight over the toe area. I really don't think that I will be wearing these for the purpose that I bought them which was walking in the snow and ice. If I do wear them again it will probably only be in the garden.

Snug & dry

Originally bought some for my kids to go on a Scouts camping trip but now we are all buying them as they are so lovely. These do come up big so I would recommend trying them on in store. I'm a 6.5 and usually wear 7 wellingtons but I ended up with a 6 and I can still fit them on with thick hiking socks.

Just the job!

Like a rigger boot, easy to get on and off. More comfortable to walk in than a standard welly. Waterproof to up above the ankle. Nice and cosy.
As mentioned elsewhere, get the fit right. I found the sizes very generous. I bought a pair a full shoe size lower than usual. A good buy

Comfy and waterproof

Purchased these for dog walking as I needed something waterproof. These are ideal for short (2 miles or so) forest walks. Great for puddles etc. but go too deep and I think the fabric would let water in. The lower "rubber" part of the shoe is very waterproof.
I am very happy with these, but what I would say is, select a tight fitting boot - mine are a little big and unless I wear extra socks they do tend to move when I walk. I have solved this by wearing thicker walking socks. Overall I am very please with this pair of boots, especially for the price. Great value.
