Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
Needed a pair of walking shoes for my son. He's right between boys and men's sizes. These were one of the options available at the Scunthorpe store. He spent most of a week walking the Yorkshire moors in these and commented that they were really comfortable, being able to climb the rocks and not slip, also got a foot wet at one point but didn't take long to dry and didn't cause any discomfort. He's happy with them and even though original bought to use as walking shoes he has said they will do well for PE come September.

Merrell Trail shoe
Excellent shoe, light and extremely comfortable. The only downside, and I knew this when I bought them, is that they are not waterproof.

Bought a pair of these for casual wear. Very sturdy, no slip when running and extremely comfortable from first wear. Extremely easy to clean and dry out quicker than what your main brand footwear do. Compared to Nike, Adidas and other makes, a steal at a very low price!!
