Don't buy these boots bought 2 pair for myself and wife.Soles are very thin you can feel the grips through the footbed.Tried to return them at store and was fobbed off by store supervisor £270 wasted.
I have been wearing this boots for 3 years and still doing well. I am a hiker and this boots are good for walker plus hikers. Very comfortable and light. Strongly recommend.
I've had these boots for two years without any problems. Very comfortable whilst doing some good sized walks. I've waxed them several times to keep them waterproof with no issues.
These didn't seem of a quality that I would expect from SCARPA. After only wearing them in my home for an hr or so im not impressed. Poor quality sole, uncomfortable, returning these boots.
Very comfortable boot but after 2 summers they are no longer waterproof. Taken good care of but the Gore-tex has given up. I'd love another pair but very expensive if only good for a couple of years. I'll still wear them but only on dry walks.
Very comfortable, but the quality of the soles and some of the stitching isn't up to what I call Scarpas normal standards
I just love these boots. So comfortable to wear with the GTX reliability I know will keep my feet warm and dry.
Love the boots, good advise in store & good price. Comfy & waterproof
What lovely boots, I have never had such a comfortable pair of boots.
Walked 5 miles on 1st wear and they were great.
So soft and flexible.
With previous boots have ended up with a sore little toe
Bought these for my husband as he always has cold feet. We no longer do any hiking but as an outdoors guy he needs dry, warm comfortable feet. These fit the bill in every way. perfect fit, true to size, lightweight and not too bulky looking for every day. would definitely recommend.
I've had these boots for over a year and I have to say they are the best boots I have bought , they are comfortable and hard wearing , I wear them just about every day , I'll be buying a new pair very soon.
Bought these for my son to wear on his trip to Canada. Unfortunately he didn't have chance to "break them in first". Didn't need to worry though, he hiked miles on first wear and his feet were as comfortable when he took them off as they were at the start of the day. A very reasonable price for such quality is rare. Thank you Go Outdoors!
My hubby says that his new boots are like slippers. They are so soft and comfortable
Only had them a month so hard to tell. Will know better when they have a 'good walk' in 'bad' weather. Initial thoughts; from one with size 13, broad feet its good to get a good looking boot that fits fairly well, I'm sure given a few more miles my feet and boots will get to like each other even better.
I've been asked to write a review for a pair of boots I've worn about 8 times. They were immediately comfortable but time will tell if they remain waterproof after 12 months.
Bought a pair in April 2016 - wanted lightweight, good looking nubuck Gtx boots - I use them mainly for walking pooches on defined trails and woodland- + occasional low level hills (I mix wear between various other Gtx boots/shoes) - proof them all regularly with Nikwak products - Scarpa boots were great fit from "get go" however after 6m use - Nubuck uppers excellent, but noted water ingres thru' sole units + soles also felt to be getting thin; informed Go Outdoors and returned them; excellent service + advice from Go Outdoors Inverness - Scarpa gave full credit but comms were delayed by festive period. Now to decide what to replace the Scarpas with; definitely will go with Vibram soles next time.!
I've punished these boots in ankle-deep stinking mud, involuntary wading, scrambling up shale slopes, and hiking along sandy paths.
A quick wash and a brush with an old washing up brush and they come up good as new each time. They still look so good that I have occasionally worn them with jeans on nights out.
They grip like you wouldn't believe on all surfaces, EXCEPT some types of concrete in the rain. Wet leaves, slimy rocks, ice paving slabs, manhole covers and ironworks, all no problem. But grip is compromised somehow on certain concrete surfaces when wet.
Other than that, they're wonderfully comfortable, waterproof, dry quickly when you underestimate the depth of a stream, very warm, and easy to put on. They also needed no breaking in, and feel like they were made specifically for my feet.
I like the immediate comfort of these boots, but in the terrain that I walk in - that's to say on rocky mountain ways - my first pair of Scarpa Cyrus boots lasted less than two years and came apart in several different places - i needed to resort to superglue to eke out their life span. The soles became paper thin and are nowhere near as durable as other soles eg those made of vibram.
A shame because I thought I might have found an ideal lightweight, three season boot for Spain. But not the case.
Wow... If your after some boots for walking on the hills and defined trails but still comfortable enough to wear on the streets, then these are the ones... i tried many different boots and these are by far the most comfortable and lightweight walking boots you'll get. They look great and finely made. I used these on Mam tor in the peak district on there first outing. Was amazed how well they performed and how light on the feet they felt. Not sure there suited for rough and boggy terrain but light hill walks perfect!
Rubbish boots fell apart at the toe box on both sides. The sole wore down and it feels like I’m walking on the bare ground. My first and last Scarpa boots. Never again. Sticking to Meindl from now on.
