Keeps the rain out and lets perspiration out.
This jacket keeps the rain out with a hood and high performance fabric and it is stretchy and articulated you can be really active, so of course you are likely to work up a sweat. The 2 layer construction makes the jacket comfortable and breathable. The second layer allows for circulation between you and the breathable fabric.
A fabric that stops rain from getting in but allows perspiration out may sound impossible, but the principle is quite simple. Raindrops are made up of many molecules of water, while sweat is in the form of vapour, which is usually a single molecule. This evaporates from the surface of your skin, through a base layer then out through the holes in the fabric which are big enough to let the vapour out, but too small to let raindrops in. Of course the technology required to create such precisely engineered fabric is far from simple.
Breathability is reduced if there is a lot of water clinging to the outside of the fabric. A water repellent finish makes the water run off the outside of the fabric so the vapour can escape.

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Waist: Measure the natural waistline.
Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.
Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. The length measurement will vary depending on the style.
