Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet.
Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Gaiters
They don't seem important but these really are great things and for just £10 you really can't go wrong with these. I would strongly recommend this product.
No more mud on trousers
Fantastic fit and easy to put gaiters on. Removed laces as they were not necessary.

Great gaiters. Keep my legs dry, clean and warm, easy to put on and very secure with a zip and Velcro. Definitely recommend.
Good gaiters
Good for keeping the mud off legs and walking through wet grass. Not using the cords under as would get muddy and elastic fits quite well around ankles. Shame they are not breathable material. But still pleased to with them.
Spatter free
No more muddy splatters on trousers. Do the job although laces underneath are a pain, previous ones had elastic - much easier

Good value but can be fiddly to adjust with laces,velcro and zip fastening.
cheap protection
Bought these as secondary cheap lot.
Not as good in terms of breathing but light and water proof.
Does the job if you want some quick fix.
Would recommend the 36£ rab ones if you prefer breathable quality for longer walks.
Length wise the rab go longer on all sides while the cheap ones most have a cut out on back of heel and either dont cover top or bottom depends which way you pull and fix them.
Happy as cheap backup for short walks.
These gaiters did their job! Up a very snowy ben nevis as well. The only downside is the laces are not ideal when you are halfway up a mountain and you have to tie them on. Leather strap would be better. Cant complain for £8 though!
