Women's Clothing Size Guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.

Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.

Waist: Measure the natural waistline.

Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.

Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. Then length measurement will vary depending on the style.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Hi Gear Women's Insulated Alaska Trousers (Short)

Lovely warm trousers. Yes, my button came off my 2 pairs as well but easily fixed with a needle and thread! I love these trousers as they are comfortable and keep me warm on winter walks etc. For the price I think they are very good value and are a lot warmer than other walking/hiking trousers out there on the market. I think they are true to size, although when trying them on in store I tried 3 pairs of the same size and they all fit me differently! But, having said that, that's a good thing because not all bodies are built the same.

Poor Quality

Very poor quality.
First time I wore them, the buttom came off straight away as has the small D ring connected.

They are true to size, and as advertised; waterproof and warm.

good value basics

These won't exactly make you feel like a mountaineer, but they will keep you snug. The fitting on the legs is quite loose, but for the money they are a good choice for winter hill walks. The leg pockets are roomy and handy for gloves.

Good value for money

(Review for older model of this product - Hi Gear Women's Insulated Alaska Trousers (Short))
I've worn them nearly every day since I got them. They are warm and comfortable without feeling heavy or bulky. I'd recommend them.

Walking trousers

(Review for older model of this product - Hi Gear Women's Insulated Alaska Trousers (Short))
I am a size 12 but bought a 14 as I didn't want them to be too tight, they are fleece lined and I wore them when it was 2 degrees and they kept me lovely and warm also dry when it rained. I bought the short length as I am only 5' 1" they were a perfect length. Really pleased with this product and would recommend.

Great value

(Review for older model of this product - Hi Gear Women's Insulated Alaska Trousers (Short))
Trousers are a really good fit even for me who has a small waist and wide hips. Good choice of leg lengths. They're really warm - I've been wearing them whilst working outdoors in minus temperatures and my legs have been toasty. They wash well - I've had all sorts of mud on them and a 30 or 40 degree wash gets them clean. They're comfortable, easy wearing, low maintenance and good value for money.

Really Warm

(Review for older model of this product - Hi Gear Women's Insulated Alaska Trousers (Short))
My partner has been out in the Lincolnshire chill and mud three times in these and have found them comfortable and warm. We will see how they go in the long run.
