Good quality product that lives up to the standards I have come to expect from Berghaus.
The trousers were too small. Wrong size ordered, so returned for full refund.
Stylish comfortable and suitable for both warm and cool conditions
Nice fit for me but if you plan to tuck in base layers in then you may want to size up. The front pockets are rubbish, super shallow, a car key does not feel safe in them, no room for wallet & phone.
Used these on a walking holiday that included sun, rain, high winds and hail. Super comfy and brilliant long leg length with a flattering fit for a tall women who struggles to get trousers long enough
Love the original Ortler. Fit was perfect.
Elasticated waist was great for me.
Owned several pair.
Bought the new Ortler 2. So disappointed.
Elasticated waist gone. Whole fit was different.
I now have 2 pairs of these and have worn them summer and winter, hiking the 3 peaks, Scottish Highlands and the Lakes.
They look and feel well fitted so they look great.
Ortler 2.0 pant, Size 38 Long
What a great pair of walking trousers, super comfortable, not to baggy & great leg length. like the zipper vents, that's a nice touch
very happy
Great product, very very comfy. Great fit. Buying another pair
If your wearing your ortlers now from a couple of years ago and fancy another new (redesigned)pair, then my advice is dont.
The leg fitting is alot more tight and figure revealing compared to the old tried and tested design, why berghaus felt the need to change a tried and tested design....i haven't a clue.
These new ones have a printed logo on the back of them so you know that these are the new design.
I imagine these new ortlers will be going back on the rails rather than going out of the shop.
Bye bye ortlers, the love affair is over....moved on to the Rab oblique which has a similar fitting to the old ortlers.
This is the second pair bought for hillwalking as they are lightweight yet warm and flexible.
I bought these trousers for walking the dog. I liked them so much I bought a second pair.
Well fitting, comfy pants, wore them on a damp, blustery, strenous walk in the Lakes and they performed well for the occassion...
I'm a pocket man so my only negative on them is not enough pockets, especially a map pocket, I originally thought the vent zips on the sides were pockets ha ha..
I'll defo be investing in another pair in a different colour...
Have hiked up the Peak District in -9C, windy and cold, as well as 25C, hot and sunny and these have done me proud in both conditions.
Bought these for indoor climbing primarily and they're great. Stretchy and comfy.
Great trousers, nice fit w’out baselayer, comfy / warm.. R’mend the >size up if you prefer baselayer but my suggestion would be they don’t need it as they’re lined, neg. - heavy rain aren’t w’proof.
