Perfect, would have been lost without it!

Bought recently on sale for a group camping trip. Took minutes to set up with 3 people (easy to put away too). Didn’t budge in the wind. Was perfect for our eating (& drinking!) and lounging area.

Does what it says on the tin!

A very quick and easy system to erect without even reading the instructions. Looks bang on trend and suits my garden perfectly. Would recommend this size over any of the smaller gazebos. Its fab.

Not what we thought

Purchased the Coleman Fast Pitch L with the hope it would protect our 18 month son in sunny days. At first it was only used in the garden and was great for this . He was able to play in his paddling pool without us worrying about him getting burnt. Go Outdoors advertise this on their website alongside a picture of a group sat under the Coleman Fast Pitch L at the beach, so we thought we'd take it to our local beach. As we were erecting the shelter two of the extending buttons became jammed with sand. Now the thing is pretty much useless as we can only have it on the lowest height setting.
I contacted our local Chatham branch and the manager wasn't very helpful and told me it want meant for sand. When I explained that it is pictures in the sand on the website she told me that it may have been erected elsewhere (she's obviously not put this thing up before).

Overall not too impressed by the build quality and less impressed by the customer service.

Great shelter

This new version of the shelter is easier to put up than the old one and felt sturdy in the wind and rain we experienced. It was on offer cheaper than the smaller version, so really good value.

Overall a brilliant shelter Gazebo

For the money this is an excellent value shelter!
It is a big dome for the money both very generous in area and height (adjustable to three height positions).
It is an extremely quick build and I found it very easy to put up by myself...if windy them perhaps best with two of you.
It is very heavy and really only good putting up not to far from the car or van...it worked very well up against the side of my large van allowing both passenger door and side sliding door to open without fouling the gazebo frame work.

Still summer days:
It is perfect and reasonably thought out.

Summer gusting rain 15-25-30mph:
As it stands in its original specification it will almost certainly at risk, unless you check the standard pegs regularly it will leave the ground...even if you angle the pegs, they are just not able to hold this to dry solid ground let alone a moist green field.

When I first put this up i realised it would not take too much, the guy ropes flimsy and and cheap, the pegs though strong and long don't have any grip.

Recommended upgrade for all British summer weathers:
I bought a box of go outdoors heavy duty pegs (still not the best, serrated plastic storm pegs the best) to double up each fixing (two pegs at the feet crossing each other), adding 6mm cord at each corner (threading through each corner double guy line loops) using homemade "old fashioned" wooden stakes as a third fix to each corner plus a 6mm cord from the centre side roof tube in the direction of the prevailing wind side and finally got it stabilised to an extremely stable gazebo becoming a great party space while the storm passed over.
Those extra costs cost me £21 and were well worth it.
Putting it up again and expecting wind I would also gaffer tape each roof tube joint as they are only a light push fit and then discard the tape upon disassembly.

Bearing all of the above I still think it is a great purchase.

Very good and quick to put up and down

I am very happy with this product on the whole. It is quick and easy to put up and down even when on my own. The only issue I had with it was a small split in the fabric when I bought it but that was swapped in store with absolutely no hassle. I agree with a previous review with regards to the fabric and the Velcro fastening being slightly fragile as I am concerned this may be a area in the future that causes issues. It is also rather heavy to carry the bag times to bang against your legs as you carry it.

Good shelter, be careful with fabric

Overall a good shelter, very pleased with it and does what we need which is provide occasional shelter in the garden for kids parties. I can not compare with the regular version, however the fast pitch seems to work well. My only criticism (and therefore dropping a star) is the the fabric is a little fragile and requires treating with care. For example, there are Velcro tabs for securing the cover to the frame but you need to be very careful that they don’t pull away the tab and leave a hole in the fabric. All in all it’s managable, but perhaps these small patches should be reinforced.

Whilst it comes in a carry bag, I would say it is not portable for a very long distance unless you have some kind of trolley. It packs away neatly but is cumbersome and uncomfortable to carry much further than the length of the garden.

Coleman FastPitch shelter L. Simply Brilliant!

I bought this as a replacement for one of the old traditional gazebo's I used when camping.
The difference is night and day, chalk and cheese and everything else! This Coleman shelter is everything the old gazbo's are not.

It is incredibly easy and quick to erect. Out of the bag, without looking at the instructions it took less than 10 minutes to erect - it is so simple. The poles are linked together where necessary so no more numbers or letters to sort and fit together, and not more poles falling out as you lift it up, etc! Since the first time we erected it I have have managed to put it up by myself very easily and in no more than 10 minutes.

It's big - but not too big. We set it up over the entrance to our little tent and it gave space to cook under, to eat under and to sit under. It has plenty of head space for the tallest of people - my son is 6'4" and he couldn't reach the top in the centre when it was erected! It provided shade from the sun, and recently shelter from the rain (pretty much water proof in my experience)

It's very strong and sturdy. The poles are strong and with the legs pegged down and two guy ropes on each corner this shelter has just survived some very strong winds and hardly wobbled.

Summary: I'm seriously impressed and perhaps more importantly so is my wife! We bought it for camping, but for the last 4 weeks it's been up in our garden and she reckons its the best bit of kit I've bought for a long time! High praise indeed!!

Useless in rain

Easy to erect, sturdy and really good in the hot sun- however, absolutely useless in the rain, far worse than a cheap gazebo bought on ebay. Became absolutely saturated within seconds in a heavy shower.website staff not very helpful and certainly not interested in the problem.

Just as the name suggests

The shelter itself is massive, and really simple to set up. I can't recommend this product highly enough.

I'm 6' and pretty much set it all up by myself, only needing a small amount of help pulling the fabric over the frame in the light breeze we had. My short assistant (5'3 if that) had no issues reaching up and over due to the way that the legs work.

It can be positioned high or low once in position and provides so much shade, it was perfect for the garden party in this scorching heat that us Brits really aren't used to.

Everything rolled away and fitted into the carry bag with room to spare, and even the pegs were plentiful and of great quality. Just remember to have a mallet to hand (Outwell's Blow Hammer was really good!)

If you're in two minds, don't be.. just get one. I know you won't be disappointed.

Perfect gazebo

I bought this to take camping in the hot weather and it was an absolute god-send! Not only is it really easy to assemble and disassemble (taking about 10 mins each time with a young helper), it was so cool underneath. Would highly recommend it for sunny weather. I haven't used it in the rain yet!

Coleman Shelter

Very large and stable shelter. Super easy to put up. Looks like it will last. Heavy though!

Sturdy and easy to put up

Did it exactly what it said it would, bought after wasting far too much money on garden gazebos. Took ten minutes to put up and it’s great that you can adjust the height according to the direction of the sun

Great purchase

We found this shelter quick and easy to erect. Made to a good standard with no flimsy connections means it will stand up well to lots of use. It covers a large area which has been ideal for us and the dogs to shelter from the sun. A noticeable difference in temperatures when under the shelter has been a bonus.

Super shelter

Bought this to protect everyone from the sun for a birthday party on the beach, however no sun just rain but the shelter was able to cope no problems, although needed to ensure guy ropes and extra good pegs used as quite windy, easily put up in 5 minutes, so much better than our old gazebo as the shelter requires minimal assembly, would recommend if looking to buy.

Fabulous

Bought this for our holiday. Really easy to erect. Great quality and large enough to provide shade for a paddling pool really happy with purchase.

Bargain shelter

We bought this shelter as an alternative to a gazebo for the garden and I’m glad we did. The curves on the sides give the shelter more support and when used at a windy school fete it barely moved and many commented on how good Is was. It is so quick and easy to put up and take down even though it’s not all in one piece like a pop up gazebo and the sturdiness and shade you get from it is worth the extra effort. I personally don’t think I’d pay the RRP for one but in the sale it is definitely a bargain.
