The Calibre Two.Two has been reborn, with modern geometry and an impressive spec list.

Calibre's Two Cubed is the all new successor to the award winning Two.Two, upgraded with 27.5" wheels, Calibre's modern geometry and two new colourways to choose from.

With a full Shimano drive train, RockShox forks, and hydraulic disc brakes, it will grow with you as you progress as a rider - all whilst giving you the confidence to try those more demanding routes and push harder every time you head out.

"The Calibre Two Cubed is a genuinely great bike that's an excellent place to either start or continue your journey in mountain biking.

Compared to many bikes at this price, it not only offers superb value but genuine off-road performance, rather than being something best left on the towpath or pretending to be rugged while staying on road."  off.road.cc  5 Star Review

Best budget bike by far

Very affordable but with a good spec and excellent build quality.

This is a perfect bike to upgrade and get you through the first few years of mountain biking.

Excellent value for money

Recently purchased this bike as I'd been looking for one in my budget for a while. This bike has a great spec for the price and rides really well. Plenty of bang for your buck with this!

So good I brought two.

I treated myself to one of these last year. I was so happy with it I've brought my lad one. I researched online and honestly believe it's one of the best bikes under £500. And this one's only £400.

It's good value

I've had this bike a few months now, mostly for trail riding. It's been good with no problems whatsoever. One point to note is that the frame is gloss black and not matt. now with trailboss tyres

Amazing beginner bike.

For the price, you won't get a much better beginner mountain bike than this. It's geometry makes it ideal for confidence and fun, while also being durable enough to survive even the grizzliest beginner-crashes. Obviously with a cheaper bikes, corners have to be cut, but with hydraulic disk breaks and rockshox forks, it's almost hard to tell that any corners have been cut at all. The tires are good (despite the fact that most bikes at this price range come with rubbish ones that need to be replaced), and other than the pedals (which, on most bikes don't even come included) being a bit cheap, there's not much on this bike that needs replacing, in fact, the original pedals on mine lasted for 4-5 five months of pretty heavy wear, I also rarely sit on my bike, so my weight was almost always souly on the pedals, and even when I replaced my pedals, the original ones were still alright, aside from some physical wear and tear and some loud noises from the bearings.
I would definitely recommend this bike.

Heavy & very basic

I bought this on a discount hoping to keep it as a knock-about MTB but it's just not good enough. Too much weight and very basic components. It end up being a donor bike for better wheels, frame and parts that I had at home.

The Shimano branded hubs and chainset are certainly not smooth. The bottom bracket is an unknown make with too much plastic. The brakes, rear derailleur and bars are the high points.

For a rideable alternative I'd either spend more at Go Outdoors or check out Vitus or Decathlon.

This is a good buy!!!

If your a new MTB rider or well seasoned this bike is worth the money, for XC on a budget. Like another review on here I have also changed a few bits around to suite me better. I'm 5'5 and the small is now spot on now I reduced the stem length.
Gears are spot on.
The seat is obviously a personal choice
I would like to add a dropper post but not sure if I can.
Tyres bite well in most conditions.
And the best thing is the geometry of the two cubed it's perfect.

A lot of bang for your buck

I wanted a decent bike without spending a small fortune. After reading various reviews for the Two Two I tried to buy one but they'd been discontinued. I waited for this beauty to arrive in store. I've used it mostly for off-road tracks in all weathers and it's been great fun with no problems. I upgraded some of the parts such as the grips, the pedals and I changed the saddle. I'm no bike geek so I can't really give in depth details but I'm very happy with my black Cailbre Two Cubed.

Check the size

I read the reviews before purchasing this bicycle so went into the store to test drive the sizes. I'm only 5'7". and found the small size was too small. I bought a medium and would advise any potential purchaser to go to the shop and check that the frame size is appropriate. Excellent bicycle

Great bike

There are some great cycle parts on this bike, the gears are excellent. I have short legs and a long body so ordered a large frame. What surprised me is the seat is way higher than the bars and makes for a very uncomfortable fit for me. I’ve had to spend some cash on some higher rise bars. However, this is a great value bike for the money.

Check the size before you buy.

Decided to upgrade from my old bike for a get fit/weight loss regime and the Two Cubed seemed to fit my needs. Some rough surface riding, along the forest tracks and along canal paths and even some road work. Not too long up to about 40miles ish each trip. Well the Cube is a good looking bike with an ample gear range and it came with good Schwalbe tyres, Shimano hyraulic brakes and RockShox suspension, so added some mudguards (don't like a wet bum) and lights (like to be seen). I'm 65 and I'd like to be 66.

Ordered it online and collected it a few days later, being given the brief by the lad in the store about which gears to use and in what range, sorry don't know what you real cyclists refer to them, but it sounded that the 27 gears were now only an 18/19 gear useable range?? See later in the review.

My problem is that according to the GO website, a small size would suit up to a 5' 10" person so my 5' 8" shouldn't have been a problem. Having read some 'Set Up' methods I found that the rise on the seat stem goes well beyond the 'max' line. So a word of warning, good bike but if you like to ride a bit higher, so there's only a slight bend in your leg, consider the next size up or rethink your purchase.

The gears, when it came to the 5 week service, someone else in store did the service and I explained the gear problems, couldn't get 8 but jumped to 9, jumping betweeen 4, 5, 6. After 90 minutes he still couldn't get it right so I came back the next day and found that all the gears worked properly in each range so now 27, but due to H & S he hadn't refitted the stem because of legal issues and it being outside the zone.

In conclusion, and because of the 'sizing' issue, I've got to buy a longer stem, but would I recommend the Cube, probably, but make sure you're happy with the seat and handlebar set up before you purchase it. I'm now considering to sell it and moving up a size.

calibre two cubed

great looking bike got this on Monday had to have it built to keep warranty as I wanted to build it my self and take it home in the box. but they said I would lose all warranties on the bike. if you buy this bike I would look at changing the handle bar grips as the ones that come on it are rubber baby ones. and the peddles are cheap plastic feels like they are going to snap off. the tyres look great the ones that come with the bike are smart sam on the back and nobby nic on the front. they hold up well riding along the canal but they are not very good in the wet. or corning when riding fast. apart from that its a good looking bike.

Reliable manoeuvrable beast

Used this on the Liverpool to Leeds canal in a day challenge, this bike performed as good as the other dual suspensions on the day, great bike for tootling along the varied sections of track and gravel. Will leave another post after the Gisburn forest trail in a few weeks. This bike has great stopping power and comfort. Although i didnt get WTB trail tyres as it says on the spec list, i got Swalbe Nobby nics on the front and Swalbe Smart Sam on the back, the Nobby Nics have great grip for finding and keeping to the track and I never lost grip on the rear despite 5 hours of constant rain. Loses a Star because it is 1 kg heavier than other bikes in this price bracket and the setup in the shop for the saddle was poor. Otherwise the bike was well set up with gears and brakes.
