Men's Footwear Size Guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.

Cheap Walking Shoes

I bought them last November and wear them 2-3 times a week to walk about 3-5 k and almost daily to walk 1-2k i.e Dog walks. Just starting to wear on the sole. Bargain for that sort of walking.

Waste of money

Wore them for less than a month and the insoles had collapsed on to the moulding of the sole creating block. Marks from the hard sole underneath.

Waste of money..! Don't bother buying

Wore them for 4hrs then had to take them off because my heels were sore. The insoles had molded around the "blocks" in the heels leaving the ridges pressing into my flesh. Worst shoes I've ever had.

Waste of money

Had for one month. Sole fell away. Tried sticking, but fell off again after two days.

You get what you pay for

Being £10 I wasn't expecting too much with these. I intended on using them for light walks with the kids. You feel every stone through the soul and 1 eye snapped within first few months.

Good price

I bought this shoe last year for £10 bargain, light to walk on, overall good for the price. However, the inside sole not quality, after sometimes the square holes leave marks on your feet-sole.

Shockingly poor quality shoes - last about 2 months

Bought these for £25 earlier this year. I had to chuck them after 2 months 'cos the sole had totally worn out. I'd only used them ~30 mins/day taking kids to and from school
Cheap and nasty. Avoid.

Very cheap and I know why

The souls of these shoes disintegrated from the inside after a 2 months of wearing them. They cost me £9 including a 10% extra discount so what else should I expect.Need a new pair now but not HiGear.

Inferia product

Worn these shoes twice the shoe is coming through the insole making Mark's to feet stay away from these taken back today would not do anything won't be buying from here again

Flmsy, but good value if you have strange pointy feet.

Pointed at the front, wide in the middle, thin soles. A fairly poor construction is expected for the money, and honestly for £10, I'd have given them five stars had they actually been foot-shaped.

Worst shoes I've ever had, damaged after one day

Wore for one day, 12000 steps while camping. The insoles collapsed into the sole of the shoe at both the heel and the ball of the foot on both shoes. Leaving the shoes very painful to wear.

Seriously cheap price and cheaper quality

I wanted a pair of walking shoes I could wear while helping out with the local cubs group and decided that these would be fine. I have a pair of Hi-Gear leather walking boots and knew they were a slightly wider fit for my flipper feet.

How wrong I was to think they would do the job. First time on one of the fabric loops came apart due to being poorly stitched and rather than making the 15 mile round trip to replace them, my wife repaired the loop.

Second time of wearing, the top of a fabric loop on the other shoe split in half across the top and is not repairable. As a result I can't be bothered wasting the money on petrol to take them back, they are being relegated to gardening shoes and I will be buying something more reliable... not Hi-Gear as their quality, on both pairs of my boots, seems to be greatly lacking.

Hi Gear walking boots

Walking boots feel clumpy but comfortable. Hi Gear Sierra II walking shoes are very good and light to wear, but have found that they cause my feet to sweat on a long walk and are not very waterproof, although the ad does state dry weather use, as such! At the low price thay are offered at, it was worth buying them for an everyday use in the garden and driving. Worth every penny and last me for a good coup;e of years through a lot of crawling under cars etc, which normally leads to upper fabric deterioration before the soles give out.Happy on all accounts!

Overal excellent pair of shoes. First time ordered shoes from Go outdoors and very pleased. The shoes are quite sturdy and the grip is awesome. Highly recommended for people who wish to have a safe long walk.
