Recently used these on camp with single burner stove.
Temp -3 to -5.
Flame starts off high but soon dies down to low flame
taking much longer for my food and water to heat up.
Very disappointed.
Supposedly good to -20. Used it my camping gas stove at no lower than +2 and had to keep changing canisters just to boil kettle as gas kept freezing. Waste of money.
Camping in may and it's still too cold for the gas cans. They start fine plenty of heat but after about 2 mins you find the heat drops off. I find myself having to keep rotating the cans to boil water
Used last weekend in Scotland and the canisters refused to gasify at about -8 degrees. Had to heat them up first to get a reasonable flame.
Used it on wild camping in Scotland on the end of December and worked fine with stove
I bought this to go with the gas heater I got at the same time. A little dearer than the butane only canisters but is meant to be better in winter. Seems to work well in the cold early mornings. Pleased so far.
Used these in our hi-gear portable heater over a very wet and cold Easter weekend, and they are so much better than the standard butane gas cans. Worked first time, every time no need to put a cold can under your arm to warm it up first.
At last a cup of coffee in a reasonable time on a cold morning!
We use a one burner cooker on our allotment and normally use butane canisters, but with the cold weather we had trouble trying to get them to work. We now have tried the butane/propane mix and they are brilliant. No problem boiling a kettle or making a bacon butty. Happy plotters now nothing better than a hot drink and a bacon butty when working in the cold.
I been using standard gas from amazon but it was rubbish on cold mornings, this gas sparks first time with good flame
Does what it says on the tin.
Very pleased with this product, does actually work better in the cold weather! *****:)
Used this multiple times at bike rallies and fishing its ace
Used it when the temperature was just below zero and had hardly any flame just the same as with 'normal' gas.
I've used this in below zero and notice much better performance in an outdoor heater than normal butane. Not sure what it would be like much below that.
I believe the temperature was about minus 1, so not so extreme cold weather.
No better than any normal
Using in my highlander fire in my fishing bivvy work ok for about 15 mins then flame starts dying and flickering until you move the fire then get another few mins definitely won’t buy again
