A light, compact and tough tent for one or two adventurers.

Ideal for individuals or group expeditions, the OEX Puma 2.1 is a semi-geodesic dome tent built to cope with the harshest conditions.

Its semi-geodesic design and Yunan T6 poles give it the strength and sturdiness to stand up to wet and windy conditions, while keeping the weight down and making it very easy to pitch. It pitches with the outer first, so the inner tent won't get wet if you're setting it up in the rain.

Yunan T6 tent poles boast Japanese grade aluminium and bespoke Korean engineering, made to perform in all conditions whilst maintaining their integrity over many years of use.

Twin doors give each user easy access to the interior.

Great value tent, tough and sturdy.

Used the puma 2.1 now on 7 different occasions and it has lived up to them all, including some pretty rough weather backpacking in Glencoe. Better materials than comparable Vango, apart from weight.

OEX Puma 2.1 tent

OEX are too penny pinching on the length of tape holding the holes to receive the pole ends. They could do with being an inch longer. As a female I am not physically strong enough to force the poles into the ends. I cannot erect the tent and will have to take it back

Great tent

Awesome little tent, had a weekend away in it and we had a storm, I didn't use the guy ropes but it didn't budge and let no water in.

Excellent tent for windy conditions

I recently used this tent for a trip to Scotland, and was thoroughly impressed by it. Because it packs away into two dry bags, it is easy to share the load between two people. There is enough space inside for 2 people plus gear, and the porch offers space for boots and wet gear.
We were fortunate enough not to have much rain during the trip so I didn't get a chance to test the waterproof-ness of the tent, but the inside of the tent stayed perfectly dry during the few showers we did have. I was also impressed by the large gap between the inner and outer layers, as previous tents I've owned have leaked when the inner and outer touch - I don't believe that this will happen easily with this tent.
What impressed my the most was how this tent held up in windy conditions. We spent a few nights camping on sea cliffs in moderately strong winds - one tunnel tent was occasionally flattened by a strong gust, another tunnel tent was constantly flapping, and a dome tent was only just staying upright. This tent, however, stood strong and only flexed ever so slightly in a strong gust.
For a spacious tent that will stay standing in windy conditions, I cannot recommend this tent enough. 10/10.

Fantastic Tent

I purchased this tent recently as I was looking for a backpacking tent that is easily transported and not too much of a bother to erect and pack away. This tent went behond my expectations. I presume this is a new model and I think that it exceeds the quality of the Oex Bandicoot II or Cougar which I have come across before.

My one negative, and the reason I gave it four stars, is the fact that it has no tension adjusters, meaning the poles can be quite hard to get in and out of the pole clips. The T6 poles are fantastic quality, yet are quite slippery when wet and near impossible to grip in a downpour.
