Not cheap but well worth the extra money. Very comfortable walking shoes, supportive, waterproof, look great. Very happy with my purchase.

I tried Meindl walking shoes for the first time in Feb 2016. I do about 5 miles a day with my dog and trained throughout the year for the 100k walk in September. The shoes were very comfortable and remained waterproof which is always a great advantage. However, the reason I have only give 4 stars is because much of the stitching at the toe of the shoes has started to come undone, Although I expect my shoes to last less time than many people because of the amount of miles I do, I also expect them to last a bit longer than 8 months before they start to fall apart. After all, they're not cheap.

My wife is notoriously difficult when it comes to walking boots as non seem to fit right. She decided on shoes so they don't rub the ankles. Tried these on and they were comfy, one year on she has decided these are the best shoes she has ever had. She now has two pairs, one for walking one for every day wear and we have just done Yorkshire three peaks and she wore these, no blisters no problem. She now wants to buy another pair to keep as stock in case they are discontinued! Worth every penny of the price she paid (twice!).

i am a size 6 at front and feet are a 5 just under to be precise , i have tried all extra wide none are , well these are i had a 5.5 they fitted perfect , light cant feel them on , no rubbing on heel or moving first pair of size have had for years that fit, all my boots are a 6 and feet just flap about , so happy , only thing is they did have a mark across side so they could have taken tenner off, if they come down to 80 soon ill get a spare pair ,shop lad was helpful it was very busy to.

Great shoes if you are looking for light yet sturdy walking shoes with a non-slippery sole. Go for half a size larger for extra toe room.

bought these shoes yesterday after nearly always wearing merrels, only because of the reviews already on. it was a tough decision between the 2 but when i first tried the meindles on they just felt perfect-comfort from day one. they feel very well made and sturdy and well worth the extra money.i am on my feet every day all day so need comfort fitiing shoes-they are a bit wider but thats not a problem as i can wear thicker socks in winter.depending on how well they last will deffinetly be buying these again.

Great everyday shoe which accommodates my specially made orthotic insoles. These shoes have been made correctly, something you just don't see in cheaper shoes. it is important to wear correctly fitting footwear, something which becomes a necessity when you have problems with feet. It is only when you have back problems you realise the importance of correctly fitting footwear. Without my orthotics in my shoes, I wouldn't be able to stand or walk. thanks for making footwear that accommodates orthotics, ie, having removable insoles. Great style, waterproof and practical.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I've purchased. It's nice to be able to buy a shoe in the correct size because it's actually wide enough. I usually end up buying at least a size too big just to get the width. This is not only wide enough but accommodates the lift and orthotic I need to wear. Comfortable, supportive, good grip and they don't look like a trainer like most walking shoes.
