Prepare for fast and light ascents with this super-lightweight, very warm hydrophobic down jacket.
Rab's Continuum Jacket gives you the maximum warmth with a minimal pack size. It's made using windproof, breathable Pertex Quantum fabric and filled with high quality hydrophobic down, with micro-baffles that prevent 'cold spots' from forming.
The outer Pertex Quantum fabric is an ideal choice for cold, dry alpine conditions - it has a light DWR to help shed snow (but won't keep off rain) and the wonderfully low denier allows the 850 Fill power to loft effectively, while keeping weight and pack size low.
The Hydrophobic treated down insulation allows the jacket to maintain loft for longer in damper conditions, and dries faster if it gets wet.
It's cut to Rab's 'Slim Fit', with a fully adjustable, insulated and helmet-compatible hood. Elasticated cuffs and a drawcord at the hem help to seal you in, reinforcing the Continuum's credentials as a true alpine and mountaineering jacket.
YKK® VISLON® front zip with insulated zip baffle and chin guard and 2 YKK® zip hand-warmer pockets

Very warm and lightweight.
Not waterproof but water resist
I had to get a size bigger because classed as slim fit, but I can pair it up with layers underneath.
I am very pleased with this jacket and I have since found out it does dry quickly after a downpour. Nice deep pockets and an oversized hood made for use with helmets toggled tight nothing is getting in. Overall very pleased just wish they did other colours because I would buy another.????

Nice and warm. Brought ready for winter.
It is water proof to an extent but not really shower proof. When wet ( totally soaked through) becomes quote heavy but does dry reasonably quick.

Buy a Waterproof jacket to go with it. Lol.
I was sold this jacket after the salesman said it was the best for warmth and that it was water resistant. The jacket is warm and lightweight, that's why I've given it 2 stars. Where the jacket lets you down is it is not water resistant at all. I bought it to go to Iceland and also trekking in Wales thinking I wouldn't need another jacket. How wrong was I!
Whenever there is the slightest sniff of damp, drizzle or rain, my garments underneath the jacket got wet and I got cold.
I feel really let down by Go Outdoors and it's staff especially since I have spent around a £1,000 or more in the store over the last 2 months.
I will be taking the jacket back for a refund and buy a jacket that does what it says on the tin!

Good balance of weight to warmth.
Doing wildlife photography I needed something warm without bulk, this jacket gives me freedom of movement without restriction. The hood when adjusted fits perfectly around my head so when turning the hood follows my motion. Very lightweight. Only time will tell how robust this jacket is.
So far so good.

First Rab Jacket
I have had a Montane Men's Black Ice Jacket for 18 months and a montane featherlight down for a few years. I wanted something that was less warm and bulky than my big montane coat. After looking and trying various makes of similar jackets I decided to get a Rab. I noticed that there are some bad points about feathers. Its a down jacket try and find one that has none coming out all of mine over the years do.
As for warmth I was very surprised that such a lightweight coat can keep me warm. I have worn it about a dozen times so far in rain and snow and I am very impressed. I will certainly be buying RAB again its as good as my Montane.

Bought this jacket for my son for Xmas, was a bit reluctant to spend so much money on a jacket, but it was the one he wanted!! He loves it, it is so warm and very lightweight. Hopefully it will last him a long time

Bought this coat on Sunday for my other half for Christmas, he wore it to work on the Monday and noticed a feather didn’t think anything of it but unfortunately the next day more apppeared and now it’s hanging up waiting to be taken back. I don’t expect to spend £230 for a jacket for this to happen.

Its a good jacket. Ajusta a la perfección, me ha encantado el color y como queda en el cuerpo, además protege del frío. Calidad vs precio está muy bien. I am very happy with this product.

Not sure what to say yet for longevity...
So I got this jacket on a Friday afternoon as a replacement for a faulty berghaus, the berghaus having had faulty stitching after about a month and having really only been worn as a casual jacket to church.
So the replacement Rab was fantastic, seemed like a really good jacket for an hour, and then I had it on me for about a half hour before I noticed some stray threads on the arm just like the Berghaus. So I brought the jacket back on the Monday morning.
To say I was disappointed and heart broken would under estimate how I felt about having to without a jacket again for a while until Rab replaced it or new stock arrived,
It seems though that a number or other users of this jacket have experienced the same as me, but many many others have been fine. Always remember that folks tend to review things quicker if it’s a negative to the product - there will be hundreds of perfectly happier users too.
So in truth I only had this jacket on me for a half hour. Seems to fit well enough, not quite as warm as the Berghaus jacket I had, but this was still warm enough.
The staff in my store were very understanding, very empathetic, and worked their pants off to try and create an amicable solution for me - i’ll Edit this review when my replacement jacket arrives and I have used it for a few weeks.

Rab Continuum jacket
Loved the jacket at first. Then I noticed down coming out of the jacket in a few places but thought it might be the odd one here and there coming from stitched areas. I soon come to realize the jacket has feathers in it and the stems puncture the material. When you pull the feathers out quite a bit of down follows. I was expecting better quality than this for a pricey jacket.
