Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.
Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.
Waist: Measure the natural waistline.
Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.
Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. The length measurement will vary depending on the style.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Light, compact and durable
Walk to the corner shop showerproof, maybe. Definately not waterproof. Don't know about breathable because I was soaked for four hours delivering leaflets. Returning today. First time I've had to complain about Gooutdoors.
Bought two of these for lightweight and compact carrying when travelling in Costa Rica.
They do fold up small and are light, also good fit and nice length.
BUT - these are definitely not waterproof. Seams and zip leaked in moderate rain, let alone heavy downpours.
For the money and as an emergency they're ok, but you learn why decent Gore waterproofs are 10+ times the price.
Very lightweight, folds up small, but not really waterproof. Took it on a three day hike on the only weekend this year that's really rained and it leaks around shoulders, neck and zip in anything more than a light shower.
It does the job. Its quite long which I dont mind as it stops my backside from getting drenched!
Folds away nicely.Found it snug good length and waterproof.Would recommend to anyone.
Good value and good waterproofing.
Downside is that its a bit snug. I got xxl and its tight on the chest. Seems to be the way with clothes these days...everything is ‘slim fit’.
Government conspiracy if you ask me...trying to get us all to lose weight...
It's cheap and cheerful and on the small side, I found it slightly tight, this is a long jacket and slightly waterproof a light shower it will be ok but anything more your gonna be drenched, it's breathable, and without question none windproof
Fit is great, I brought it as an emergency back up, and love that the fit is quite long and can fit over plenty of layers.
As I expected however, when out for a few hours in the rain moisture builds up on the inside. Best recommendations is that you wouldnt want to wear this with a t-shirt alone. But if you can layer up with layers that will allow moisture to breathe and keep the coat away from your skin, then in that case it's a worthwhile coat to have in a pinch.
A good shower proof foldaway cagoule. It easily folds up into a small pouch. I like it because it is longer in length than the average cagoule and is good in wind and light drizzle.
This jacket does it's job alright.
