Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet.
Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
Tried a number of different makes and types, but found these Asolo to be flexible, but supportive for hiking. You would need a stiffer boot for climbing, but for general hiking these are great. The upper ankle support doesn't rub or irritate. They just felt good right from the start and have proved to be a good purchase.
Strictly I shouldn't be reviewing these as its not Christmas yet and they are still under the tree. However, they were the most comfy in the shop and I tried four or five different makes and a variety of sizes. These don't rub on the ankle but are roomy enough for thick socks. Really looking forward to a Boxing Day walk.
These boots are both light and super comfortable.I thought they were ideal but unfortunately water seeped in at the toes the first time I went walking in the rain, so I'm getting having to get a refund. Bitterly disappointed. Replaced with Aku Tribute (while waiting for refund to be approved) which so far seem OK and are just as comfy and still not too heavy.
Great style and very comfortable boot. I bought a scarpa boot the week before and it was quite uncomfortable. I've worn the Scarpa once so I didn't attempt to return it but I went back for these. Although I am quite disappointed with the scarpa boot, the Asolo are a dream to walk in; and I would recommend this to others!
I was lucky enough to get these in a ladies size 9 and they fit beautifully. Nice and soft around the ankle and yet really supportive. Great service from Go Outdoors in York too.
I bought them by trying in store. Since having a wide foot , choosen a 1/2 size higher . Have to see their durability
Bought these on the recommendation of a member of staff for being so supportive and very waterproof.
Going walking on a Saturday in the driest months Cumbria have probably ever had and I have still managed to get soaking wet feet off a bit of morning dew on the grass. Decided to return them after 3 months, just as they got comfortable.
Still waiting for resolution.
