This is an okay low end baitrunner. And for the price with ready line its not bad at all. Ive had these for a year and now upgraded to the shimano. But for a starting carp reel for the price, i would recommend. One downside is that after a while the drag starts to go bad. If u do like to catch a good carp or 2, defo chnge the line !!!!!!!!
for the price it is amazing i use it with 12lb mono and ive had fish on up to 15lb no problem
I used it for the first time today and for a budget reel it worked ok at first. I was feeder fishing with it with 6lb main line. It was after a few retrievals that I noticed the line snagging somewhere from the reel to the rod tip. It soon became apparent that the line was getting caught behind the bail arm line roller. The roller was too loose and thus leaving a tiny gap into the mechanism. Tiny, but large enough to allow the line to get behind the roller and get snagged. I've managed to fix it by adding an extra washer behind the roller to pack it out and get rid of the gap. I hope this is just a one off fault on this specific reel. Needless to say that if the line got snagged in this way and snapped, it could lead to a fish carrying yards of line with it. If you do decide on this reel I'd recommend that you check the line roller first to make sure there's no gap.
