Made such a difference to our set up

Find this utility tent invaluable.
We don’t have a porch on our tent, so find this a really useful addition to our set up. Allows us to cook underneath and store many items inside.

Great addition

We used this for cooking on a recent camping trip, held up great during wind and rain, only giving 3 stars are there are a number of little holes in the cover from how it was packed.

Review based on 2...

Review based on 2 weeks use, as cook & storage tent, pitched next to our caravan on an exposed very windy site. Can just about be erected/dismantled by one person, but two are better. The package as supplied is very unstable in wind due to the useless flimsy pegs provided, but by using our own rock pegs it was transformed, and then exceeded expectations. We had some rain and it remained dry inside.

Have put up in garden . It is easy to erect, well made and sturdy when pinned down . This is a well made and spacious utility tent, far better than any I have used in recent years . A good investment for those who use regularly

Brilliant Utility area

We used as a cook house. Used twice in the last few weeks and stood up to some wind and rain.We had a 4 foot table and a storage unit in ours with still plenty of room. Easy to put up.

Great space saver!

We use this as our kitchen and cook in it with the door open. Plenty of storage space for cool boxes and food etc! Stood up to galeforce winds during revent storms!

Brilliant utility area!
3_5 out of 5

We bought this tent as a utility area to use with our camper van, as we have not yet had our sink and stove fitted. We used it in Cornwall for 6 nights this Easter, all of which were windy and rainy. I was afraid that the tent would not withstand the elements, but it held up excellently! The campsite was also at the top of a hill which made it even windier, but the tent stayed true the whole time. Only one peg came a bit loose on the first night, but that was the tent cover elastic coming off the top of the peg, rather than the peg coming out.

It was handy for us because we kept all the kit in there that we didn't need in the van. We cooked in there with the door open and it kept everything clean and dry. The description suggests it is adequate to use for a weekend, but we used it for the whole 6 nights.

The only disappointment was that I asked the staff member instore if it came with a ground sheet and she said it did. But there was no ground sheet with it, plus no indication that there should be. Thankfully we had a spare one with us!

Utterly useless
3_5 out of 5

I bought this product last week. It was delivered in a timely manner, and I put it up the day it arrived. Two days later it is a twisted heap due to winds of about 20mph. The metal framework is the cheapest ERW tube and completely unsuitable for the job. The annex was fully guyed and pegged down but is just not fit for anything than being installed in zero wind. Don't bother unless you are camping inside barn.

annex tent collapse
3_5 out of 5

I wish I could give no stars. I pitched this tent in my garden as recommended before being left in the middle of a field with a twisted buckled & bent useless pieces of metal which happened after one night of rain. the cover didn't let the rain through so at least the star had to give it is but metal made in china is cheap for a reason. the store manager just said "yes the weather has buckled & twisted it"and no refund given. BUY this item at YOUR OWN PERIL from THIS STORE

Hi Gear annex and door
3_5 out of 5

Steel poles much better than fiberglass.Plenty of space to cook and store equipment. Material reasonable quality.Velcro tabs on door useless after ten days careful use. Stood up to fairly strong wind and heavy rain. Inadequate pegging points solved with two Klingon tarp clips and ball end bungee elastics on each side and door. Overall a useful addition.

Hi Gear utility tent
3_5 out of 5

Spent a week in Scottish Isles and tent was a blessing. Easy to put up and stayed up. Great to have that extra space when parked up with van. Pitched beside sliding van door so easy to get in and out of it. Great addition especially using it with porta loo when parked up in wild remote areas.
