Tough, lightweight, wind-resistant, comfortable and unrestrictive with plenty of useful pockets, Montane Terra GT Converts are great trousers for trekking, whether you're on a day in the hills or a month in the outback.
They're twice as useful because they can be zipped off into above-the-knee shorts, so you can adapt your clothing to changing weather, and keep packing to a minimum if you're planning a multi-day trip where the climate may change. They can also be rolled up to ¾ length (and held in place with press studs) for more easy venting if chaging is impractical.
Tough fabrics, clever design and Montane's usual attention to detail make the Terra GT Converts perfect for those on the move:

Montane Terra converts
I liked the feel of the material prior to purchase they are comfortable, practical and functional due to many pockets. They have a useful leg length shortening feature so they can be made mid length or just unzip to convert to shorts. A great buy that will be getting much use.
perfect for all kinds of weather
I bought these during heatwave and used as shorts. Then went to Scotland and tested in all sorts of windy, wet, cold conditions. They work perfectly, very light, breathable, protect from wind and rain.
I purchased 2 pairs of these for a recent backpacking holiday to Sri Lanka, they were perfect ,as drying was quick and they were comfortable and looked good as either shorts or trousers,the zip offs i have owned in the past have always been a bit of a compromise neither particularly good at either as zips seem to be not in the best position. I also like the fact that there is side ankle zips enabling the leg section to be removed over shoes which is a great feature particularly when the ground is wet , in addition to this there is poppers allowing the legs to be rolled up for crossing streams etc .All in all excellent converts.
