Wonderful value

Bought this at hathersage store (great helpful assistant with good product knowledge) to aid me walking as I have injured my knee and this is sure what the doctor ordered. I read a previous review and was uncertain at first but I don’t know what people expect for £11.00 I found non of the issues reported in that review!!!!
If your looking for a walking stick this will do you fine

Good design but could be better made

I was drawn to the fact that there was only one of these left, and numerous of the straight handled version available – always telling? I prefer more of a shepherd’s crook longer staff rather than a low walking stick, so wanted the option to move my hand around the handle, and be able to curl my thumb over the top. I like to change grip position to relieve pressure points on my hand, and this design has proved good for this. My only gripe – beyond the pointless and mis-positioned wrist lanyard which was immediately removed – is that the plastic moulding had left a hard vertical ridge down the plastic handle, which after a few miles stared to blister the flesh between my fore finger and thumb. A subsequent rub with sandpaper when back home solved this, but undermined my opinion of the quality of the stick. So - this has proved an OK purchase, but if I if I decide I like this style of handle design I’ll seek an alternative and better made version.
