Good little tent

This is definitely a good little festival tent for 1 person. I definitely wouldn’t want to sleep in it with 2. good for fair weather but in the rain it leaks.

Utterly pointless

Please don't buy this tent It's unfit for the stated purpose My son and his cousin were bought them as presents. The tent is single skin, meaning condensation will form and drop onto the occupant but worse than that, it leaks appallingly along seams and through the actual fabric. The groundsheet isn't worth the name - there was lots of upward leakage too. There was no rain, just heavy dew. I don't know what the hydrostatic head is meant to be but I'd hate to rely on this thing in actual rain.
The zip is rubbish too. Get a Quechua

Pop up tent zip

Bought for a festival . Zip broke within first day so I had to sleep with the door open for 4 days luckily it was very warm until the last night when we had torrential rain and 50 mph winds so obviously got pretty soaked . But hey ho what do u want for 25 nicker.

Good value for money. Got as a beach shelter, needed to follow instructions for packing away but with a little practice goes away quickly.

Bought this tent for an overnight at a wedding. The weather was predicted to be glorious so thought might as well as it's only for 1 night, unlikely to rain and the big selling point was that it's a pop up. Unfortunately I hadn't considered dew and when I went to bed everything inside was soggy. It was a very cold and uncomfortable night. In the morning a cheeky pal shook my tent and it rained on the inside. Also because of the slope of walls, it considerably reduces the workable space inside. I'm a skinny 5.9 and I either had my face against the canvas or my feet; both getting wet while there. It certainly wouldn't fit 2 adults or 1 adult plus stuff. Surprised Go Camp is selling such a useless tent. As much as it's tempting, if you want to sleep at all and have a chance of keeping things dry, go for something else.

Does what it says on the bag.

Great pop up tent. Bought for our daughter to use in caravan awning.
Very surprised by the tent for the price. Popped up just as it's supposed to, plenty of room for 2 people if needed. Getting it back in the bag I would suggest trying at home first!!
Follow the diagrams and once you've done it once it is so easy.

not much use as a tent, other uses possible.

I would say this tent is just fine, if you're not planning to sleep, or put anything that you even remotely value inside it.

Perhaps all you want out of a tent is to prevent someone from looking at you while you sleep? In which case, this tent is the one for you. Fully translucent.

I think it would be ideal for compost, or growing mushrooms. The fact that it lets water in quite freely would suit these applications nicely.

The fact that Go Outdoors even sells a tent this poor, let alone has the audacity to pretend that its retail price is £50, lowers my opinion of them. I'm going to try and get a refund.

For the love of god don't buy this tent.

Fun but dubious as to its effectiveness

Now, this cost me just over £20, so I didn't expect too much and really only bought it for my 6yr old to play in.
Ideal for a summer party/ outside sleep in the garden.
Maybe okay for the beach???
I doubt it'd be great in anything other than a little rainstorm.
Fiddly to put away.
For the price, though, not too bad!

Not for use in the rain

Bought for two primary age children to share. It was a very cosy fit for them, not sure how two adults would get on.
Rained on the first night and they woke up with soggy sleeping bags and a puddle under the camping mats. Initially thought it was due to the number of times the tent door was opened during the night. Second night, one child slept on their own, with no toing & froing this time, and the tent leaked again resulting in a middle of the night transfer to our tent.
Willing to give it a go, we bought waterproofing spray and covered the entire tent. Last night was due to rain so we pitched the tent in the garden and left it empty overnight. Checked it first thing this morning and there was a big puddle in it.

Freedom trail tent

Pitch and Ditch

So, we bought this tent from Oxford Go Outdoors, was told by the sales staff that there may be a degree of 'condensation' associated with this tent.
As we were only using the tent for storage we thought that it would not be a issue, wrong...the tent leaked from everywhere, if you are planning to buy this item for camping please do not as we had a rather large puddle which soaked our belongings, bearing in mind we only used it to house clothes and storage boxes. This tent is not fit for purpose, the refund process was also tricky from our local Plymouth store, so be warned, if you want a descent tent it is probably wise to stick your hand in your pocket and get something more robust.
I am surprised that Go Outdoors sell such an inferior product as this, as you can see from the other reviews this tent is not good.

Festival pop up tent

Do not waste your money, bought two for a festival, boys where soaking wet at the first sign of rain, tents leaked , resulting in wet bedding and clothes. Not happy, will be returning them both. Given one star in order to submit review.

Great value tent for the money. There was heavy rain during the night, and the insides of the tent got soaked however, after drying it off with a towel everything was fine. Its a great size for 1 however 2 people can fit in it comfortably. Major problem was the size of it when packed away, it was massive.

Freedom Trail

Would not have given this a star if i had the option.
Used it once last night in my back garden with my little girl as she wanted to try camping before we went for real.
Safe to say she will never want to camp again as we woke up soaked! we would have been dryer in a swimming pool. Absolute rubbish, unfortunately i have gone past the 30 day returns period otherwise I would have got a refund. Would be very reluctant to buy from go outdoors in the future when we buy our family tent. AWFULL

Pitch & get wet

Bought this tent for my 2 children. We camped in the dry woods in mild dry weather. My kids kept on waking up through the night to ask why they were all wet & inside the walls were all wet. No inner tent or ventilation. In end they had to share our 3 man tent with us & we had to buy another tent for their 2nd night. I returned this for a refund. Only really any good as a sun shade. Looks good but you can't camp in it. Better off saving extra £20 & buying a Quechua tent (amazing!)

Not Waterproof

This tent is not waterproof. It leaked from first use and by third night everything inside was sodden. We went home a day early from a festival because of it. The zip broke too, on second day of use. Go outdoors have not responded well to my complaint and have refused to refund. I would give minus stars if I could!

Freedom trail pop up tent

This is not a festival tent it is more a cheap beach tent. It lets water in via the fron zip and seams so it is definitely unsuitable for the unpredictable British Summer.
Go Outdoors were excellent and refunded my money. Can't complain about there efficiency.
