Who needs duvet when you got the beast

Purchased 2 of these bad boys for indoor use (I like sleeping next to open window, I am weird I know) roughly 8 months ago. Must admit been sleeping really well, not too cold nor sweating. Recommended

Good bag but doesn't like Audi roof boxes!

Realy comfy and spacious, unfortunately only used for 1 night. Apparently sleeping bags can get a bit suicidal when being transported in Audi roof boxes!

absolutely brilliant.

So I’m one of those nightmare campers who is always cold. Well not anymore. We just came back from a week in Cornwall quite chilly overnight. But this keep me sooooo warm. Quality zip and well made.

Best sleep ever!!!

I bought one of these pods this week and went off to Keswick. Its the warmest and most spacious bag ever. I was apprehensive, as I've used a double sleeping bag for years. 10/10 for me

The Beast is good but not that good

I bought the Beast sleeping bag a couple of years ago and for the room it is fantastic. Spring or end of summer it's great but if the temp goes to zero you had better buy a 2 season pod as insert.

Like many others I have trouble moving around in mummy shaped bags. So when I bought this one I was very surprised. As the weather was getting colder I decided to leave the heating off and use this bag. WOW, never been warmer in a bag and the room to move around in was amazing. It's the only one I use now.

Best sleeping bag

Bought this with trepidation but wow it the best sleeping bag I have bought. I am 6foot 1 and as wide as tall and I can turn around inside of it and boy is it warm. I was camping out in a canvas tent with 3 others in torrential rain and thunder storm everyone else was fully clothed going to bed I wore shorts can't say anymore than I am buying one for all of my family

Good for a big man

I am 145kg and 6'3" and this bag was big enough for me, unlike other bags there is room inside to turn over without ending up in a twisted mes :-)

The Beast extra large Pod

For years I have used 4 season sleeping bags, but these always were restrictive and difficult to turn in. I saw the Beast which looked better so I bought one, it is the best sleeping bag I have ever owned, warm comfortable and room to turn over in.

Comfiest night camping.. possibly ever

For years I have camped, and done many fesitvals. My sleeping bags were always Mummy sleeping bags which were great when sat in a chair on a cold morning holding a cup of coffee, but being a big guy, I kept ripping the zips as they were too snug.

Hence the "Beast"! saw this and had to try it. Really comfy, able to move around and toss and turn with out breaking the zip.

Have slept the best ever with this one. Yes it is big, but a good night sleep is worth the extra weight! (otherwise I get grumpy!)

So glad I got it

After years of trying to find a bag I could turn over in without feeling like a sausage I came across this. Perfect, I've put on a lot of weight but still have lots of room. It is big enough to just pull over without zipping up . I love it.

Sleeping Pod "The Beast"

What a great piece of kit! Just back from a camping trip to Scotland where the night temperature dropped to 4c. Pod kept me warm even though I didn't bother to zip it up. Plenty of room to stretch out and turn over without twisting (I'm 6ft tall and Large build). So much more convenient and comfortable than the light duvet we used to take.

Hi Gear "The Beast" Extra Large Sleeping Pod™ Sleeping Bag

After a cold trip to Isle of Man 2015,decided to purchase 2 of these sleeping pods for Isle of Man 2016. Strongly recommend these, kept us warm all night and being a pod allows you to turn in your sleep. My son and i are not small guys, yet these were fantasticwarm cosy and added to a good trip .

Don't buy!!

Really disappointed with this sleeping bag, at first it was spacious and comfy. I thought I had finally found the sleeping bag for me. Unfortunately after first outing the carry bag ripped. Then on summer holiday zip broke and seams ripped on the sleeping bag. Regret not buying a double bag by a better brand.

The beast!

Yes the zip was initially a bit of a pain, but wow! Bought two of these recently as both me and hubby tend to sleep restlessly in a double bag. Loved the amount of room and was wonderfully warm. Highly recommended.

Great bag, shame about the wash, great customer service.

I bought this as I have being unable to turn over in bed when camping. Tried it last weekend, it was totally brilliant, everything I've ever wanted for camping.
I went to wash it today, but checked the weight first, I was happy to see it was less than half the weight my washing machine can handle.
I put it on a light 30° wash with reduced spin. When I got it out, the fabric is ripped inside and out.
I called the store and explained. They where fab and have offered to replace it.
We love Go Outdoors and have never had a quality issue before. I hope my replacement Pod is okay.

Warm & comfy

I'm 6'6 & just fit in head to toe but this pod is so big there's plenty room to get comfy. I too had a few issues with the zip constantly catching but it's a minor flaw compared to how warm it keeps you.

Great size - usual zip issues

Great for rolling around in your sleep, no tangles or strangulation and proper length for a taller person.
Warm enough for UK 3 season but no more.
Only negative is the zip gets caught on the lining all of the time, as with most bags i guess.

Having found myself stuck with a not so warm 2 season on an extremely cold weekend I upgraded to The Beast. I much prefer to have some room to move my arms around and being broud this was spot on. Extremely comfy and warm.

Really is I beast

I've not used this for a full nights sleep, only tested it in the front room and wow it's big, really is a beast of a sleeping bag. I'd probably say it's a little too big if anything. My wife and both kids could fit in it together, but if your a larger person on like loads of room it would be perfect.
