Wish I'd read the other reviews before I bought these, bought a size up on my other trousers and seemed ok in the shop. Wore them a few times and found them painful to sit down in. I wrote to Craghoppers and their reply was "the trousers are low rise and are designed to fit more snug". I'd avoid these trousers but certainly try before you buy (and make sure you try sitting down !)

So far so good
Light, robust and comfortable. Not really tested the bug deterrent yet.

Not my first pair of Craghopper trousers I find them great for walking the dog this time of the year. Light enough to be comfortable and yet heavy enough to keep the wind out. I love the fact that I can walk through tall wet grass and they dry within a few minutes.

Bought for upcoming trip to South America where I am sure the built in mosquito repellent will prove invaluable. Lots of comments on the small fitting the waist size "30 for me is perfect. I usually take a "28 or "30 with a belt so I am delighted that I won't need to factor in a belt with these. I hate the geography teacher look of really baggy walking trousers too.
One star lost because one of the two waist buttons has fallen off already, at least there are two of them! I have only been wearing them round the house so not the best first impressions. Hopefully they will go the distance on my travels.

Sizing is just wrong, I needed a 34 and am normally comfortable with a 32 waist. Fit is appalling, tight in all the wrong places. But it is the price being charged for this tat that is bewildering, a rrp of £60! I compared these to my now 4 year old cargo's (same model) and every buttoned secure pocket is now a flimsy velcro fastening. Belt loops have been reduced and the handy press stud loops are no more.
These might be the sort of thing found in Aldi for around £8, but no doubt would be of far higher quality.
Go Outdoors have far better alternatives.

Get a size bigger!
For some unknown reason Craghoppers are putting the wrong sizes on their trousers.I am normally a 36 in North face strides and they are a little baggy at that.Had to get a 38 in these and would still describe them as a bit snug!Sort it out Craghoppers!

Hipster trousers and now odd sizing
I will start off by agreeing with the previous review about hipster trousers. There is NO room around the groin, which makes sitting down in these trousers ultra uncomfortable.
As for the sizing. Craghoppers have recently changed all their sizing, which means a short leg (normally 29 inches) is now 28 inches. I have no idea why they have done this, but I can no longer fit into any of their trouser lengths without it being half way up my shine or standing on the trousers. If they fit you and you like hipster trousers, I'm sure these would be perfect, but for me they were super comfortable.
Go Outdoors happily refunded as normal.

A bit late now, but I bought these trousers in a sale last year and because they are my normal size I didn't try them on until now, when pulling them on the trousers nearly split me in half because the measurement between the crotch and the waistband is 64mm less than in the normal trousers, if you like hipsters then these are for you
