Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.
Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.
Waist: Measure the natural waistline.
Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.
Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. Then length measurement will vary depending on the style.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
I have not owed this hat for long, so there is not a lot that I can say. I am impressed that it comes with a life time guarantee. It does not matter if you sit on this hat, it just goes back to shape when you put it on. It fits well and looks great when you wear it. i have just treat my self to a silver broach, of a stagg jumping, which looks great pinned to the side of my hat.

A very warm hat
I have several Tilley hat (first bought over 20 years ago) which is why I was prepared to pay the high price for this one. We bought two - one for me and one for my wife. We were glad that the Bristol store had almost all the sizes in stock, so no problem choosing the right size for each of us. So far we have found them lovely and warm for this time of year, but breathable so not hot and sweaty. And very comfortable too! Minor gripe is that they do not have a chin strap, so slightly worried if we should have really windy weather.

this is my third Tilley hat. I use this in winter- the other 2 are summer hats. the ear flap keeps you nice and warm in a cold breeze. it can be a bit too warm in the middle of the day and doesn't fold up to put in a bag.

A very comfortable hat,but make sure you purchase the next size up for a proper fit with these hats. It struggles to stay on your head in a strong wind but what hat wouldn't .
Excellent quick delivery.

I have three of these hats now, two bought from Go Outdours. These are fantastic hats I have bought more hats than enough some expensive. But none as good as these hats you should try on before buying. Not saying they are different sizes a 7 is a 7 just that different styles such as the winter hat with the ear flaps. I have had the winter hat on all winter so far and its proved itself wind rain no problem and warm. I use the ear flaps down and a neck tube pulled up holds the ear flaps down and the draught and cold out. Worth every penny even better if you can buy in sale. Morphy

What a hat!
I love this hat. It's now been tested in wind and rain and came through with flying colours. After hours squashed in a suitcase it still looked good too.
Like another reviewer I found I needed to order a couple of sizes larger than I normally wear, in order to get the recommended fit with space for fingers inside the rim.

A well made hat. The ear flaps seem to make the hat a little smaller than other Tilley hats of the same size I have tried.

Tilley TTW2 Tec-Wool Hat
Love this hat, wanted one for years and I'm not disapointed.

A good English winter hat so far
The TTW2 seems a good hat for the English winter. Not the warmest of winter hats, but has shown itself to be water proof and keeps one's head warm and shelters the face from rain and to a certain extent from the wind also.
I tend to give my everyday things a lot of abuse - they get squashed among bags and other items in the footwell of the car. But so far the hat has always quickly resumed its intended shape.
Unlike the Tilley warmer weather hats, there are no straps to tie this hat down on your head. Because of its weight and fit these are less needed.
