No lid insulation

Like others here, there was no insulation in the lid, so I returned it. We checked the other 3 that were on the shelf, and they were all the same. This is not the fault of Go Outdoors, as all the boxes were manufacturer sealed.

Rubbish

Don't bother with this. No insulation in the lid, it doesn't close properly either so gaps at the top for bugs to get in and the heat to get in. Better available in Tesco for the same price. Spent our week camping cleaning up melted butter and gone off meat despite using multiple cool packs.

Ok

I bought this because of size, but it’s really no better than a picnic cool bag. I put frozen bacon in with frozen milk and 4 ice blocks. They all had completely defrosted by morning - at least everything was still cool. Not a terrible product, but not that great either.

Cool boxes

We bought two off these cool boxes but the same week we found them on offer at morrisons for ten pounds each

Cool box

The perfect product at a very reasonable price for keeping things cool..kept things cool for up to 8-10hrs in the heatwave

non cool box

We bought this cool box because it is a reasonable size and looked similar to our old one. When we unpacked it we realised that there is no insulation in the lid. Can't imagine that it would work well in hot weather. We exchanged it for a more expensive coolbox.

Does the job

We got this since it was on special offer for £10 (inc. discount card). Only been used for one camping trip so far, but it does what it is meant to do.

We placed a couple of freeze blocks and it helped keep the milk and a few other items cold enough for a few days. Worth the money.

Does the job but not made well

The coolbox does an alright job of keeping food/drinks cool with plenty of ice packs, although upon taking the product apart I found it's literally made with styrofoam behind the plastic. Get what you pay for I suppose.

Great value

Great value cool box. No frills but does what it needs to

Well worth the money

Let's be fair, this hasn't been developed by NASA and won't keep anything cold for extensive periods in desert like conditions but it costs £10 with the discount card. I've had mine now for almost a year and have had no problems with it particularly if you use a couple of cool packs on the bottom and then two more in the middle somewhere. All in all, great value.

Does the job

This coolbox does the job well for the price and quite spacious

Not bad

Not bad for the price you are paying, does the job and kept our stuff cold for 2 days with 1 bag of ice. The lid is very thin and not very insulated and does not seal well but you are getting what you pay for here. Not bad at all

Rubbish

No insulation to the lid. Only the thinnest polystyrene panels on the main part of the box. Does not keep food cool on hot day. Had to throw food away. How they can say its a cool box I do not know. Had 4 ice blocks and all melted within a few hours.

Poor

Read the other reviews they sum it up, poor quality poor value, don't waste your money.....useless as a cool box, no stars wasn't an option.

Easily Modified to be Excellent

Only the sides are insulated-ish. The top is hollow, thin plastic, like a jar lid. It renders the cooler almost useless. However, simply fill the top with styrofoam from old boxes lying about and you'll have an amazingly spacious, cheap cooler for the road. We used it as a fridge in a hotel to save on buying lunches and sometimes for sushi dinners, when we wanted to sit on the balcony, peacefully sipping cocktails whilst watching the sun set as the waves rolled in. Just add ice daily.. A great, cheap solution to rip off Britain.

Terrible

It's a tenner. I took beer and 5 ice packs. It didn't last the day. The lid isn't insulated hence it doesn't work. Now I'm going to buy a £50 Coleman one that works. It's cheap for a reason....

Rubbish

Even one star is too much for this cool box. Has now been reduced in price - I'm not surprised because it is rubbish. Don't waste your money. The lid isn't airtight therefore nothing stays cooled. I put items in the cool box, straight from the fridge, with two very large ice-packs. The ice-packs defrosted very quickly and the box contents didn't even stay cool long enough for the start of the picnic with my grandchildren an hour later. One of my worst purchases ever!
