Designed for fabrics exposed to the elements for long periods of time, Fabsil Gold Universal Protector is a highly-concentrated waterproofing treatment perfect for use on equipment such as awnings, marquees, and tents.
With 5 times more silicone, it works great on items that see more than their fair share of wet weather or water - including boat covers and sails. Easily applied, Fabsil Gold will last longer than other waterproofing treatments, and offers unrivalled levels of water-repellency.
For lightweight nylon materials, the coverage is up to 18m² per litre.
For lightweight canvas materials, the coverage is approximately 7.5m² per litre and for medium weight canvas, it is approximately 5m² per litre.

Did the job
I used this to waterproof a trailer tent canvas that was letting water in every where. It was easy to apply and when I went over it with the hose the following day it was completely sealed. Not a drop of water inside.

Easy to apply
Used this on our heavy duty canvas gazebo, seems fine, sprayed on easily, haven't had any rain yet so can't vouch for quality of waterproofing but could see a difference in the canvas immediately

Watched numerous videos on YouTube to see what and how people used this product before buying it. It does what it says on the tin. I took one of my old Regatta coats that sucked water up like a sponge and followed the steps by spraying it on my coat and then using a 2 inch paint brush I worked the Fabsil into all the nooks and crannys of the coat. Once covered I hung it up to dry overnight and the next day was a great test to see how waterproof the coat was as it was torrential and blowing a gale. The water run off the coat with no leaks anywhere, when I got home I shook my jacket and what needs of water was left fell of the jacket it looked like it hadn't been out of the cloakroom. Dry as a bone. Incredible product and very easy to use. A little smelly when first using but the next day there was no odour from the Fabsil.. Can't recommend this product enough. Awesome.

Leaking seams cured.
Painted this waterproofer on with 1" paintbrush concentrating on known porous seams, but treating all the tent's seams at the same time. Camped through one wet (and windy) night and half a damp day. No evidence of water leaking anywhere so we can conclude its as good as it claims on the tin.
Notes: Our tent is a woven polyester fabric.
I treated the seams with the tent fully pitched on a warm, calm, sunny day.
It was a bit awkward to reach some of the higher more remote stretches of seam.
As per the advice on the can, the treated seams are now a shade darker than the surrounding fabric.

Our awning had been leaking badly. I washed it with the tent and gear wash first and then used this. As.i write this review I'm watching rain hit the awning and just run straight off.
