Waterproof overtrousers that pack down small enough to stuff in your rucksack if the sun comes out.

The Hi Gear Typhoon Waterproof Overtrousers are a lined overtrouser made with a 3M Teflon coated polyester shell, that are very hardwearing but thin enough to comfortably fit layers underneath.

The elasticated waistband means that they fit every shape and can be adjusted for comfort.

They have one useable pocket and one through pocket so you can reach inside to get those non-waterproof items out.

With a 3/4 leg zip, you won't have to remove your boots to get them on and you can ventilate if the temperature is warm, but the weather's wet.

  • Inside leg length = 33"
  • Fully waterproof
  • Elasticated waistband with toggle
  • 1 Useable Pocket and 1 Through Pocket
  • 3/4 Leg Zip
  • 100% Polyester Shell & Lining

Men's Clothing size guide

Measuring tips

Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.

Collar: Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.

Chest: Measure the chest at the fullest part, placing the tape close up under the arms.

Waist: Measure the natural waistline.

Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch to where your trouser is normally worn on the shoe.

Jacket Length: Measure from the centre back of your neck to your hemline. The length measurement will vary depending on the style.

Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.

Good for the sale price

Not a bad pair of trousers a little uncomfortable to walk in but seemed to withstand the light rain. Not sure I would be as happy if I paid the RRP however. Better trousers out there if you’re going to pay full price.

They're ok

Purchased two types of trousers, these ones and water repellent ones (craghoppers).
These ones I found uncomfortable and difficult to walk in. The other ones are much more comfortable. Not sure about the waterproof ability as not worn in rain yet.

Hi Gear Trousers

Nothing good to say about these. Not waterproof. Become heavy when wet and will not stay up, causing difficulty in keeping, now damp, undergarments in place. Made walking very uncomfortable.

Hi Gear Men's Typhoon Waterproof Over Trousers

My husband & son were pleased with the size & fit of the trousers & are finding them useful in wet weather, they are what they say they are waterproof. I have to add how pleased I was with the help & advice I had from the sales person who looked after me at Bilston St. Wolverhampton I'd never been there before & would feel confident to go again. Thank you.

Nice trousers

Good quality feel to these, strong and weather proof. The long length leg was fine for 6'5" person. While not insulated these trousers are very warm when worn over other trousers.

Hi Gear Typhoon Overtrousers

Purchased these a while back, I'm what would be described as a hardy fisherman, out in all weathers, boat and shoreline these trousers have kept me dry and warm throughout this winter, and have machine washed great afterwards absolutely can't fault them, will get the Regatta brand every time, have loads of their gear which is very reasonably priced and does what it says on the box

Typhoon overtrouser

I have had these for about 6 months, great in the winter, I prefer not to wear anything under them. Very warm and have kept me dry.
Way to warm for summer use, get some thin overtrousers. Overall good for the money.

Leak like a sieve

Well, what can I say? They were alright for about the first two hours I wore them on Dartmoor during Ten Tors, but in the driving rain they soon started to leak around the zip area, after this happens, the water just pours in, leaving you with wet legs that start to chafe almost immediately, next time I'll spend more money on a proper pair of trousers.
