If you're out walking in summer, you need something breathable to protect you from wind and light showers, without making you overheat. In winter you need more rain resistance and insulation.The Paramo Bentu Windproof Jacket provides wind and water resistant protection for the warmer months, and if worn with a fleece will form a warm waterproof system for winter.
It's made from Nikwax Windproof fabric with a zoned Pump Liner in the hood and across the shoulders that provides clever drainage technology for added protection in heavy rain.
- Extra rain protection in high-impact areas in the hood and across the shoulders
- Safe, secure storage of two large (map-sized) chest pockets and two handwarming pockets
- Fully adjustable hood can be stowed securely when not in use
- Two-way front zip allows easy ventilation and access to inner layers
- Articulated shoulders and sleeves for maximum movement
- Hook and loop cuffs, allows sleeves to be pushed or rolled up for cooling
- Hem drawcord with adjusters secured in pockets

As always Paramo, in my opinion, is excellent. Go Outdoors price makes this jacket particularly good value.
I bought this really...
I bought this really to use on showery/drizzly days rather than a waterproof.
This review is based on 1 such day, bearing in mind the DWR is at it`s best.
It worked, I didn`t get wet, 2 five to 10 minute moderate showers, drizzle, dry spells.
It will be interesting to see how it copes with persistent light to moderate rain.
It`s lightweight, well made, I`m impressed, I bought a Medium, 42" chest 5ft 9".

Paramo Bentu Windproof
Purchased for walking/cycling on windy days with the possibility of light rain and it serves it the purpose well. The fit and cut of the jacket is excellent. Its the little things that make the difference incl the soft feel rustle free fabric, articulated shoulders, decent pockets & wired well fitted hood and all this combined to serve me well on the South West Coast Path over a very windy couple of days (up to 60mph). Of course it will have to be combined with a fleece come the winter but that is expected. With the added benefit of looking good down the pub made it a good purchase for me.

When combined with the fleece, they are the complete solution.
Stood a really soggy day in Wales recently....with just a base layer underneath, it was totally dry!!
Great large pockets that can take a map...and a hood which keeps your head warm.
In my view, Paramo beats every other jacket...hands down.
