Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
Only bought these 2 weeks ago, and as I’m an outdoor instructor in the south Lake District area I need good walking boots.
So far I’ve been very happy with my new boots.
The boots (I have three pairs) are awesome, very waterproof, great grip and the comfiest boot I've ever worn. Didn't last long for me, Go Outdoors were awesome and replaced mine after 6 months.
The good,most comfortable boots I’ve owned.the bad,stayed waterproof for first 3 Munro’s only.after 10 months both boots split.avoid!
After 18 months and not many miles wear the sole weld to the reinforced shoe body split on both boots. A shame, as these are a comfortable and sturdy boot. No encouraging feedback from Keen on the design, so I'll not be buying or recommending these boots to anyone.
Bought from Go Outdoors late 2018 as a replacement for my Targhee IIs. Narrower toe/forefoot than the Targhee II. Thinner leather used for toebox, and a softer/smaller Keen bumper which feels less robust. Has boot fit been compromised for lower manufacturing cost?
After buying a pair towards the end of August 2018 they have now lost tread over half of the heel and quite a bit from under the ball of the foot areas. Making muddy walks a bit precarious now and will have to relegate them to the cycling boot. They are however very comfortable.
As with a previous reviewer i have wide feet, normally I have to buy a size 8 but with these 7 was perfect. They superbly mirrored the shape of my foot were comfortable and easy to wear. They are breathable and waterproof and have ' broken in' no trouble. I would certainly recommend these to anyone needing a wider fit. I'm looking forward to giving them a good test on my next walking adventure.
What a surprise, a brand I'd never come across, procured a pair of these from Go Outdoors after trying on numerous pairs of boots.
I have wide feet and although I'm a UK 10 I often have to buy 11's. These are wide enough to house my trotters in a 10 which is nice.
They seem very well made, the insoles are easy to remove and the waterproof lining is Waterproof and is breathable, if not more so than Goretex. I get clammy feet easily and it doesn't happen in these.
For comparison I've owned Meindl, Salomon and Haix boots. None were as comfortable, non as breathable (Haix nearly as good) and the Salomons were not as supportive either.
The go to boot for me now, I'll be trying the shoes as well.
Worth a try
Not a replacement for the wide-fitting Targhee 2s. Sole design and styling look better but what's the point if your feet are cramped and painful after wearing them for 10 miles?
