The Women's Phoenix Jacket is a great investment for a range of mountain excursions.
Its PrimaLoft® ThermoPlume synthetic fill, PEAQ Synthetic ECO lining and PERTEX® QUANTUM ECO fabric provide the insulation, comfort and wind resistance that will make cold, blustery conditions an irrelevance - conveniently, it also packs down very small, so it will easily fit into your climbing pack.
Its insulated hood fits neatly under a helmet, and there is a microfleece lined chinguard for even further comfort. There is also plenty of pocket space for your bits of gear - all zipped for security - and the elasticated hem provides a final extra layer of insulation, as well as vital protection against spindrift entry.
If all of this sounds as though it may be restrictive or clunky, the articulated arms and micro baffle construction provide the dynamic freedom of movement that you need to make the most of the mountain.

Love this jacket. Bought it for belaying on colder days but have found myself wearing it every day. Plenty of room over the shoulders and enough length in sleeves - performs well as an active-wear jacket but also fits nicely enough for everyday use. Much prefer the synthetic filling over down - no leakage, still works in the rain, and no need to worry about the ethical pitfalls.
