Was umming and ahhhhring between this jacket and the ME Lhotse. I was able to try the jackets on one after the other in the store. It was a difficult decision however I went with the Berghaus mainly due to the colour (I chose black) and the high collar. I don't spend time in the mountains however I do regularly stand on the side of a football pitch watching my son. Parents who do this will know the weather can get extreme (or at the least very cold!). Along with a down gilet underneath I was proper toasty warm, and when it was windy the jacket blocked the wind effectively. The collar is nice and high allowing you to snuggle right down into the jacket. Only had one downpour in it and it kept me bone dry. Must remember to wear waterproof trousers next time as they were soaked!! All in all a really warm and comfy jacket!

Mountain&ski Berghaus 7000 pro
When you put fleece 2.0 down and this jacket up you are warm all day on ski, dont need nothing else.
Perfect moving, very good with ski helmets, not just climbing.
Dont have on left arms pocket for ski card, but its mountainering first.
I am skiing at night also at 22pm. and also perfect, moving its fantastic on slalom.
At rain its also fantastic, all da raining and walking, nothing, like sun walking.
Maybee Berghaus in future must put with this jacket,or 8000,9000 maybee some down insulation together with jacket for skiiers.
