Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
I've now had these shoes for a few months.Today I went for a 50 minute walk along the promenade in heavy rain.My feet were soaking.I shall not buy this brand again. If I had the receipt I would return.
Cheap. Heavy, impossible to get good lace tension. Scruffy looking, Aching feet after 8 miles. Sore spots but not actually blisters. The waterproof liner hasn't really been tested during the 20 miles I've worn them. Unlikely to as the liner already has a hole in it and they're in the bin.
I purchased a pair of size 8s in the autumn of 2017 ready for the winter. I used them for dog walking and found them to be about 95% waterproof. I already had plantar faciitis in my left heel, so when I needed to start using orthotics to ease the pain, I decided to buy another pair of these in a size 9. These turned out to be only about 50% waterproof and I recently returned them to the store and got a full refund. I'm now using the size 8s again without orthotics, and putting up with a bit of dampness. I do wish manufacturers wouldn't make claims for their products which clearly aren't true. Something for trading standards to look in to?
Well at the price what do you expect. Actually they are tuff with good grip. The only issue I have is the fit around my ankle bone. Fortunately I had an old pair of sorbothane inners which raised my ankle up enough to make them comfotable.
bought recently for walks in woods and trails. Fits well, has plenty of support and is waterproof. Recommended and a bargain at this price.
Brought for metal detecting which needs a comfortable shoe/boot for eight hour stints in muddy fields, they were comfy and waterproof on a very wet day, a little dissapointed with the grip pattern which built up and seem to lock in an inch of clay across both soles and the laces kept coming undone which is always a pain in muddy boots. Overall good value for money but glad I didn't pay the alleged retail price of £75
Waterproofing was tested, and all good, nice firm sole and comfy to wear
Bought for the purpose that I planned walking on hard surfaces and occasionally in rough terrain - boots are comfortable and fit the occasions required - would definately purchase again :-)
Bought these in early February and have only been used on pavements and grass. Already they are falling apart. The plastic protector at the front of the shoe has come away from the fabric upper. And also the shoe laces have snapped due to the metal eyelets. Complete waste of money. Would not recommend!
They are very comfortable. Offer a good fit in terms of the support they provide, feel and protection.
I was slightly apprehensive buying these shoes as I have difficult feet which not only blister on the left big toe but they can be painful in the tendons and ligaments. I bought the shoes and have tried them over a few miles now, they are relatively comfortable and depending on my feet, vary from comfortable to slightly uncomfortable. I was told they were waterproof. They are not when they were tested in very wet weather. Whilst my feet were not soaking, they were slightly damp. Overall I think they are good but can begin to feel a little uncomfortable after 6- 8 hours continuous wear.
These were comfortable from first use. Not planning to use them for any major or rough walks, but they feel as if they should do a good job on moderate surfaces, lightweight but a bit more substantial than standard trainers. Pleased with them so far, but not greatly tested or worn in the wet.
Got these shoes back in November mainly for walking the dog. Have used them a fair bit and I have to say they have been very comfortable, you forget you are wearing them most of the time which is great. They are very waterproof but they are not breathable at all and my feet get very sweaty in them when wearing them for longer periods whatever the weather. They had faired well for me up until last week when the sole on one of the shoes just started to fall apart and peel away from the shoe. Even at this price I expect a walking shoe to last longer than 5 months, luckily GoOutdoors returns policy is very good and they refunded me as the shoes were clearly defective/faulty. I decided not to get the same again for fear of them failing in the same way in a few months time, I replaced them with a more expensive Salomon pair that will hopefully last a bit longer.
1 hour after putting these on I had to get a cab home and go to the doctors due to a massive blister on my left heel and a big black blood blister on one of the toes on my right foot. As a diabetic I have to be extremely careful of my feet and these are quite simply dangerous to me.
I wondered if it was just getting used to them so 2 weeks later (thats how long the blister took to heel!) I went for a shorter walk, this time wearing a pair of trainer socks inside a pair of proper padded walking socks. Stopped after 20 minutes and sure enough, blister in the same place!
Comfortable, and ?? percent water proof. Great price from go outdoors.
Very Disappointed: if ordering go up at least half a size,Not waterproof,a walk on wet lawns leaves you with wet feet and not breathable, even on dry days you will have wet feet
A firm fitting walking shoe with comfortable footbed made even better by having a breathable and waterproof top
I bought these as I have had this style of shoes from Karrimor before, in brown. I only have had them some months and the sole had worn down really quickly on both shoes, finally going into holes.
