Comfortable 4 season walking boots which give you great control and precision on rough terrains.
GORE-TEX® TechnologiesThe Scarpa R-Evo Pro GTX 4 season trekking boots are built for complete comfort and superb performance - ideal for fell hiking, via ferrata and winter mountain walking.
They are built using Scarpa’s Sock Fit technology, with unique SCHOELLER S-TECH fabric to provide an ever-adapting fit - the tongue, ankle flex zone and collar are all linked with an elastic action, just like you are wearing a sock, that moves with your foot.
Their GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear lining allows moisture vapour to move away from your skin while keeping water out, so your feet are kept dry and comfortable inside.
ACTIV impact Technology enables the sole unit to absorb negative impact with the ground and increases shock-absorption, with the Vibram Pentax Trek sole giving you a great balance between precision and cushioning.
The Heel Tension system gives great stability and adaptability to the severe stress derived from steep routes, helping to avoid torsional twists and making walking easier - even on difficult and rough terrains
A precise, customised fit is always easy to find with the Speed Lacing system, and you feet are always well protected from knocks, scrapes and debris by the full boot rand.

Scarpa footwear is made in European sizes, which allows for a more accurate fit as the 'gaps' between sizes are smaller. Each European size is roughly 3/4 of a UK size.
As with all walking footwear, we advise moving up a size from your normal shoe size to allow room for thicker socks and for your feet to expand during a long walk. If you fall between sizes you should always go for the larger size.
We have trained footwear advisors in all of our stores - if you have trouble finding the right boot for you please pay us a visit and we'll be happy to help. You can also find out more about choosing, fitting and caring for walking footwear in our online Footwear Buying Guide.
Bought these to replace another pair of Scarpa Boots. These are a good pair of sturdy boots, they fit very well and hold your feet in a comfortable position. I purchased insoles to make the boot even more comfortable. Had to experiment with the laces to ensure a great fit. Use for hill walking and ridge walking.

A light, comfortable and grippy boot, however, the lacing does give problems due to sharp edged lower eyes. Have changed to the 'traditional' Scarpa laces which last longer.

Scarpa evo pro gtx
Lacing system is poor, as said previously, the lower set are too sharp & laces were worn through on both boots after first day. Definite design fault here.

Scarpa R-EVO PRO GTX
I've owned the Scarpa R-EVO PRO GTX for over a year. I've used them extensively for work, as an Outdoor Instructor. Overall the boots are disappointing, especially for the price. They are uncomfortable over reasonable distances, even playing with different inner soles.
The lacing system doesn't seem to work so I spend too much time having to retighten them regularly and the bottom rings, the laces go through, are pretty sharp so I've had to replace the laces a few times.
The boots stand up to water ok, although in prolonged wet weather and bogs they leak after a few hours.
I've been a fan of Scarpa over 30 years but I feel that the build quality seems cheaper than in the past - it's a real shame. I'm now going to try the Sportiva Trango range.

I could test them on my 6km hike in maddy/snowy conditions. They were amazing - like made for my feets. They are VERY comfortable, worm and as they should, waterproof! I can only recommend them.
So far VERY HAPPY :)

Comfortable straight out of the box, didn't need any breaking in. Warm and completely waterproof, exactly what I needed/wanted from a boot. Definitely worth the money, you get what you pay for and more.

Comfortable straight out of the box
Great traction, loads of support and really comfortable. Bone dry feet so far even on a wet day in the Cairngorms. I would thoroughly recommend these boots.

Great boots, worth every penny!
Had to return my Salomon Quest 4D 2 due to them leaking and got the Scarpa boots instead. Actually glad the Salomon boots leaked as they were really stiff on the ankles (to the point of bruising ankle bone). Did 12 mile hike today in these new boots. They were extremely comfy, especially round the ankles. Grip whilst scrambling was awesome, these boots just mould to your feet!! Rained for 2hrs on the way back over the peat and water logged paths, feet were totally dry when got back to the car. Only thing I could be negative about is the insoles, I got some Superfeet Orange to put in them and got the boots half a size up. These boots are worth every penny, TOP BUY!!!

Since owning these boots I have done 2 ten mile hikes and 1 18 mile hike and not had a single blister or sore spot. They are not trainer comfy but are very comfy for a stiff soled crampon compatible boot. very water proof and appears to be robust. Lots of lacing options and the sock fit is awesome. I went half a size bigger and pleased I did because the toe box is very hard. My only gripe is the really naf insoles that come as standard I swapped mine for the Grangers trek insoles after the first hike.
